Weekend Trip to "JALUM" Undulating Farmland!

Karen was very friendly and welcoming. She advised us where we could camp and where the amenities were if we needed it. We could camp pretty much anywhere we wanted at the front of the property. However due to the amount of rain we had prior, it was a little boggy in some spots. But we picked a nice spot right near the little dam she had. Did some fishing with the kids which they thoroughly enjoyed. The highlight was watching how excited the kids were to see the horses and alpaca. I would definitely recommend for short farm stay

3 nights at Rowlands Creek Camp Area

We found the campsite easily and good access for 2WD. Ample space for 12 pers tent plus gazebo and 2 cars. Picturesque location, quiet and peaceful. No fuss from owners but saw them maintaining the area and porta-loos. With 2 dogs it was sometimes a bit of a struggle with the horse wandering around freely. It might be an idea to leave horse in one of the paddocks which is reserved for campers without dogs? The Creek was fairly full after the recent rain, nice sound to sleep with along with the bullfrogs.

Camp area was very clean. The caretaker Dan was extremely helpful and friendly.

1 night at Glencairn Estate Campground

For us - A quiet spot to unpack, repack and catch up on some rest before checking in at an AirBNB in town. This worked perfect - would do this again. A little different than and overnight stay, however if you want a tidy, minimal spot of grass a stones throw from Byron Bay to catch a breath from the hustle and bustle this works great. They have a power outlet to charge up, and a nice flow of tank water/possible bore water I can imagine if you have a solid setup, this would be an affordable place to call “base” to setup, get into the chaos and fun that is in town before retreating back to base for the “ peeeth and therenity”

Location, location, location. Flowing river, camp fires, cows, many camping spots to chose from. Friendly helpful host! Every bit and more as described and beautiful as the pictures show!!

Great spot to camp, Bob took me over to the campsite closer to the dam, it was so peaceful there with minimal road noise. It’s a picturesque area, I highly recommend going there. Absolutely beautiful place. So peaceful and serene. Watching the cows was just lovely. Beautifully kept grounds and huge sites. The running creek was great. Such welcoming hosts, was a pleasure to stay at their HipCamp as it's in a prime location and enough of 'bush' to hide you away from the city. My kids got to play with their grandchildren, who are the same ages and they really enoyed it. Will stay again if we cross that way.

Eltham Station Campground is a quiet campground on the Wilson River near the hip village of Eltham, just down the road from Bangalow, a few k's from Clunes and 35kms from Byron Bay. The camp sites are private and have easy access for 2WD vehicles or 4WD. Eltham Station has 7 all weather campsites along a private lagoon. The sites have gravel pads and grass to set up on, plus campfire spots laid out (firewood available) a clearly marked road in and are also surrounded by large trees to provide plenty of shade. There are plenty of birds, frogs, water dragons, platypus (if you are quiet), wallabies and other wildlife around the property and it is a beautiful and peaceful location to set up camp for caravans, motorhomes, swags, tents or vans. Exclusive use of the whole campground for a large group is available on request. We are only 2kms from the village of Eltham and the famous Eltham Pub which is a historic building that often has live music and is a great spot for a meal. It often books out so during busy periods we recommend you book ahead on www.elthampub.com.au Also we are only a 20 minute drive to the beach (recommend Shelly Beach at Ballina with a great cafe called Shelly Beach cafe for breaky or lunch) and are close to the many other beautiful attractions that this area is known for. Children under 6 stay free but hosts must be notified of the total number of people in your group. Each site holds a maximum of 6 guests in total. Campfires are permitted in the rings provided and please ensure you set up in the spot allocated to you especially in busy times. All campers must abide by any fire or other government restrictions. Well behaved pets are welcome but please be aware this campsite is on a working farm with cattle, potty calves, horses, a few of our own dogs. The livestock are behind fences or over the river so will not be on your site. Please respect the farm animals and do not approach them

There is access to a lovely forested walk down to a little creek where you'll find a shady picnic spot to rest and wet your feet. We are 5 mins from The Channon Tavern and General Store with ice and petrol, and many nearby swimming holes, bush walks, and waterdalls. The infamous Protestors Falls on Terania Ck Rd is 20mins away on beautiful winding roads. Eclectic Nimbin is 15 mins up a scenic winding road, and Lismore is 25 mins away for all your larger shopping needs. The popular Channon Craft Markets is on every 2nd Sunday of the month.

Our beautiful farm is located beside the Logan River and is a little natural oasis close to everything. The campsites offer lush green grass and are set on the bank of the Logan river where you can go fishing. We have a boat ramp that you can use to put your boat, kayak or jet ski in. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish wth them on departure. There are fire pits available for guests to enjoy, please check local restrictions before lighting a fire. Firewood is available $35 for a full wheelbarrow. We have a tennis court that you can rent depending on availability, we also have equipment for hire, if your interested please ask us for prices. Our farm has chickens, ducks, goats and guinea pigs. We also have an abundance of wildlife from all kinds of birds to lizards and possums. If you're lucky you may even spot one of our koalas, kangaroos or foxes. Please keep in mind that we have animals and you need to close the gate behind yourself. Unfortunately we do not accommodate pets due to our farm animals being free ranged. Also sorry but no guests who want to stay during the day or just want to pop in allowed as we have had problems in the past.

Tappy's Tours and Camping

The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. The property is completely off-grid and contains 800m of creek frontage with fishing spots, a swimming hole for campers, and abundant wildlife ideal for bird watchers. Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet has recently become a community of 8 private residences that share this beautiful property. We kindly ask that campers respect the residents’ privacy, however if you spot them on the common grounds, they are always up for a friendly chat. CAMPSITE The campsite is situated on the communal grounds at the heart of Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet on flat lawn surrounded by bamboo and the sounds of the rainforest. We also have 10 raised camping shelters on offer, suitable for small tents for 1-2 people. Campers have close access to bathrooms built from eco-friendly shipping containers with composting toilets and warm showers; a fire pit, a kitchen garden to share from, an education/function center (available for hire), a common sheltered area to relax with wifi, and an equipped shared kitchen. Beautiful waterfalls are less than a half hour drive away. There are local businesses who can help you pursue these kinds of activities if you don't bring your own equipment.
