There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained. Activities: Stargazing: With minimal light pollution, our location is perfect for stargazing. Lay out a blanket and be one with nature. Campfires: Enjoy a classic campfire experience. Roast marshmallows, share stories, and embrace the warmth of the fire (maybe not so much in summer). Photography: Whether you're a professional photographer or just love snapping pictures with your phone, the ever-changing landscapes and wildlife make for fantastic photo opportunities. Bush walking/ mountain biking: With up to 20kms of bushing walking or mountain biking, enjoy the natural bush land and wildlife. Nearby Attractions: Royal Mount Larcom Hotel: Enjoy an amazing meal at the Royal Mount Larom Hotel Mount Larcom Climb: 360-degree view of the Gladstone area, rural lands and the harbour. 5 hours should be allowed to complete the climb. Fishing: Only 39 kms away from the Ramsey Crossing boat ramp were you launch you boat an go fishing and crabbing. Mugul Mountain Retreat is a 300 acre property adjacent to Mt Colosseum (or Mugul as it is called by the local Indigenous peoples). The property borders the national park of Mt Colosseum. Mugul is a site of significance for the Gooreng Gooreng people. Our property is home to a multitude of pretty face wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoots, goannas, possums and over 60 species of birds. A serene and peaceful place Mugul is where you can experience the energy of a sacred Indigenous site. Accessible for all types of vehicles. Dog friendly. The property offers basic camping without facilities. You will need to be self-sufficient. We have a bush toilet but no showers. At the house there are toilets and showers available for an extra charge. Please see us if required. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. You can purchase firewood from us (see Extras). We prefer you to bring your own water, emergency supply can be arranged (we are on tank water). Patchy mobile reception.

"The Windmill" is set on a 4 acre property which consists of a beuutiful 3 bedroom home set amongst our beautiful gardens, available for guests wanting the creature comforts. This property is host to three permanent residents, an onsite care taker who resides in one building, and the cottage occupied by our onsite massuese, not to mention our community Red dog who is very social......... so pets with the same mentality are very welcome! This property provides our guests local produce grown or sourced from local farmers. Fresh, filterred drinking water can be purchased on site. For our onsite campers........at this stage of the properties development, we ask all to be self contained for sanitary and power needs. The property offers many shaded areas and a beautiful swimming hole to cool off in the warmer months. Here at the windmill we cater for all social events, with the appropriate communication we can organise a day of fun with workshops ranging from blacksmitthing and permiculture, to brethwork and meditation events, to couple retreats.........Bookings are essential, limited space and conditions apply.
