The Tweed River Retreat

4 sites · RVs, Tents300 acres · Murwillumbah, NSW
Nestled in the hills of Uki at the foothills of Mt Warning (Woolumbin) - We are a 300 acre cattle farm with a mixture of grazing land and rainforest. However, everyones favourite part of the property is the flat, manicured campsite where the Door Doon Creek meets the Tweed River. With easy access to Kyogle road this 2 acre campsite offers absolute river frontage, landscaped gardens, fireplaces and enough room to get away from it all. Relax and unwind by the river or explore the many options on your doorstep, including Fishing, Canoeing, Kayaking (plenty of river to paddle, or Clarrie Hall Dam is 900m up the road). There are also many bike and walking tracks literally on your doorstep as well as the Murwillumbah Rail Trail less than 25 mins away. The other HUGE attraction to recently open is the world class UKI MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK (about a 4 min drive). Feel free to ask us for the best local swimming holes, waterfalls, and hiking tracks around the area. PLEASE NOTE: There are public toilets at the village of UKI just 2kms up Kyogle Rd.

Byron Myocum Farm

1 site · RV, Tent110 acres · Myocum, NSW
Your campsite is on a grassy knoll of Myocum Farm. Your group will be the sole visitors and there is a hot private outdoor shower, your own flushing toilet, a firepit, firewood available, free kindling provided, and a table and benches. There is a recycling and garbage bin provided. Please note our rates are very competitive and cover 3 visitors in our base rate. You are welcome to walk around the 110 acre working cattle farm and see the cows munching, or walk through the fingerlimes - which are a fruit indigenous to this area, or you can just kick back and relax, but with the convenient distance to towns and beaches, you can also use it as a base to very easily explore all the region has to offer. The campsite is easily accessible from the road, and is a convenient distance to Byron Bay and Bangalow (15 mins), Brunswick Heads (10 mins), and Mullumbimby (6 mins). These towns offer great dining, local market, and retail experiences, along with a plethora of activities to pursue: swimming, walking, fishing, great surfing, sea kayaking, ballooning, skydiving, horseriding, golf (eg renowned Ocean Shores golf club is 20 minutes away), and the wonderful rail trail for bikers or walkers can be accessed at Mooball, a picturesque 20 min drive away or try out the new mountain bike trail at the vey pretty township of Uki in the hinterland. Beautiful waterfalls are less than a half hour drive away. There are many local businesses who can help you pursue these kinds of activities if you don't bring your own equipment. The campsite has views across the farm to the distant lighthouse which shines out at night. Your group are the sole visitors and we have had a lot of feedback from guests appreciative of the privacy and convenience this affords them. This farm has been a dairy then beef cattle farm, thus unfortunately it has been mostly cleared, but we are slowly regenerating native species with our cherished hope to continue this in the coming years.

The Kirell Coastal Hideout

3 sites · RVs, Tents1 acre · Gold Coast, QLD
Nestled in a wildlife corridor, our 1.4 acre property is surrounded by trees and nature. There are two campsites separated by a communal picnic table and fire pit which ensures your privacy. There is also a toilet block with a toilet. The spot is located in the backyard, away from the main house where the owners live. A stone's throw to everything the Gold Coast has to offer. Less than 10 minutes to Tallebudgera, Palm Beach and Currumbin beaches, 15 minutes to swimming holes and waterfalls in the hinterland and to the thriving restaurant and nightlife scene in Burleigh or Coolangatta. 30 minutes to the heart of Surfer's Paradise, 45 minutes to Byron Bay. 5 minutes to supermarkets and shopping at The Pines and 19th Ave shops. As we are in a nature corridor, please ensure you do not collect firewood from the property grounds and take your trash out with you. There is a petrol station around the corner (corner of 19th Ave and Guineas Creek Road) with bins, firewood for sale and a water tap. Please note that being 1.4 acres, our property is ideal for overnight stays and using as a base for a trip to the Gold Coast as it is quiet, private and has a stellar location. It is truly seclusion in suburbia. For those who plan to spend most of their time at the campsite and are looking for a much more wild, bush camping experience - we suggest you book a site further inland where you will find larger properties to camp on. We are currently not accepting caravans or trailers (campervans, cars and tents ok) as we are regenerating parts of our property. We also have a 4 night maximum stay. Thank you! We look forward to hosting you!

Binalong Forest Retreat

4 sites · RVs, Tents30 acres · Upper Burringbar, NSW
Binalong Forest Retreat is a 30 acre corner of the beautiful Tweed Shire in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Consisting of 25 acres of tall native forest, with a five acre clearing for the dwelling, studio building and sheds, it is primarily an artist's retreat. Totally private and surrounded by the natural environment, staying here is akin to being in a national park. So if you love nature, away from the hustle and bustle of cities and suburbia, you will appreciate this place we call home. We see ourselves as custodians of the forest, protecting it for future generations. This property is also registered with Land for Wildlife. Being on a ridge Binalong Court is a steep bitumen road to the cul-de-sac. Number 59 has a 600m bitumen driveway, steep at first then a gentle climb up the side of the ridge. The driveway was impacted by the flooding rains over 2022 summer which blocked drains and eroded the edges in places. Happily the road is now repaired.
