Gorgeous acreage up on the Ridge in benarkin. A tiny town with nothing but nature. Be woken by baby cows and goats and fall asleep to peacocks and bird song. Access to power and water for campers. A fully furnished and self contained rustic cabin is also available. Small campfires are allowed as are pets on leads. If you would like to arrive earlier or stay later, please let me know, if there's not another booking that will be OK. Please feel free to wander around the place, just be careful of the male goat in the back paddock"dragon" He can get a bit headbutty at times. If u tickle his beard, he tends to stop. There's also a water spray bottle which he hates. Otherwise all the other animals are very friendly. If u see the cows laying down  they will let you lay next to them I will leave some feed in the cabin so u can feed them.they get very excited about food If you need more firewood there's plenty under the big gumtree in the middle of the yard. Please remember to extinguish fire fully before leaving unattended. You also have the option of pre ordering a home made charcuterie board on arrival. It consists of 2x meats 2x cheese, olives, bell peppers with cheese,2x dips, crackers , seasonal local fruit and vegetables. 2 sizes available - afternoon tea $45 or dinner. $65 It will be freshly made and placed in the fridge in the cabin, or delivered to your site if you are camping. There is a number of walking tracks on the property and a large billabong where you can enjoy swimming and other water activities. There are Geese who often visit the property who you are welcome to greet and feed. We also have an abundance of bird and wildlife who visit the property and have even been lucky enough to spot a Platypus in the billabong. Our property is home to a number of Horses and we offer Horse based activities for an additional cost (see our extras) so you can meet them and learn some basic horse riding skills. We are just 15 minutes from the popular Eumundi Markets and 30 minutes to Noosa main beach.  The site has power and water for your use but you are required to supply your own camping toilet (Please note if you arrive without a toilet you will be asked to leave) and remove all rubbish waste on departure. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners control at all times. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided and firewood is available at a small additional cost. We had such a great overnight stay at Sharni and Graham’s - despite the recent weather. They were super welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at place, especially with our young kids - showing them all the friendly farm animals and their beautiful dogs, which the kids absolutely loved. You can tell they’ve put a lot of care into the place. It’s tidy, well looked after, and just a really nice spot to have the kids run around. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

We stayed at Nunkeri for 5 nights over the Easter weekend. Sharni was a fantastic host and ensured our needs were well taken care of. Waking up to the sound of horses, cattle, sheep and goats going about their morning ritual....ensured our stay was memorable. Sharni and Graham ensured there was firewood available for our first night, after which we were able to source more material from the property. Short drop toilets are situated around the property and are very clean. The maremma dogs were a sight to see as they ensured the stock were protected...Chief (the alpha) was a social butterfly going from one camp to the other ensuring all campers were looked after. Phone reception is sporadic which further added to the off grid experience. Overall a fantastic experience and if we are ever back in the area will definitely return here.

The Bagu site we booked was an amazing site! The grounds are kept natural and give you a true sense of being away from the city, but the grass around the camps are well maintained and perfect for groups. No horrible rocky ground to stop pegs from going in. It's not perfectly flat but our group had a camper, tent, campervan and two rooftop tents and we had more than enough level ground to find good spots while still having a huge amount of communal space and a campfire that wasn't too close for comfort. Was a very interactive farmstead with gorgeous animals to pat, Chief was a very welcoming and friendly dog who loved lots of pats and scratches. The hosts Sharni and Graham were so welcoming and kind. Can't give this place enough stars and definitely can't wait to come back.

Karen and Nick are great hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay during what was very wet weather by offering the use of an indoor shower and toilet in one of the vacant cabins which we greatly appreciated. The property is located in a central location to many of the great walks and views in the region. We would certainly recommend it as an ideal location to camp and explore the region.

Possum Bush Retreat is an amazing property, with lots to see and do if you wish. The farm animals wander freely and sometimes come to see you. I was so fortunate to have arrived the day a new miniature horse foal was born and Sharni was so generous in inviting me to have a quick cuddle, she also took me on tour of the property. I was pleasently surprised after reading one reviewer's comments about the campsite being in close proximity to the main house, that you can't see the house at all from the camp site, nor can you hear anything other than the farm animals. I was the only one camping, so I felt like I had the whole world to myself (and the animals, of course). The property is easy to find and is exactly as described, very well maintained, with a lovely, clean dam to swim in and plenty of fire wood in addition to the already prepared camp fire ready to light. I would really encourage others to visit this little peace of paradise.

Please note: Off Grid Stay - Yeates Road is the only access to Porfiri Rd and the campsites - NOT Stokes Road or Range Road - Porfiri Road (in places) does not do well after heavy rains! So please advise me of your vehicle type in your booking. - Small low profile tyres, sedans and hatchbacks will struggle - Motor-homes cannot make the drive (regardless of the weather) - AWD and 4x4 no problems. Vehicles with lift will have no problems. Our farm features bush and cleared areas on undulating hills. We are 100% off grid with fresh drinkable borehole water The campsite has lovely green grass, access to the pool and a picnic table, and fire pit. Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities. We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs. We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling. Please note that Quails Ridge is also home to Diggers Rest - A Soldiers Retreat and should you be a Veteran or a currently serving member of the ADF - please book through admin@diggersrest.org.au attaching a copy of your DVA Card or stating your service number. 4WD Recommended - dirt/gravel road and two creek crossings (through the creek bed) to get here. We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

The Croft provides a quiet place to sit relax and take in the fresh air. With 49 species of birds and clear skies above at night to shine a light on how big the universe is. We are also home to endangered GREATER GLIDERS at The Croft! You will have a 5-acres to explore during your visit with a large flat campsite area with power and water if that is what you need. The onsite caravan – BETTY – is available for you if you need a bit more of a glamping holiday. Toilet is a composting toot. Self sufficient sites are available as well in another part of The Croft property near the dam and is accessed via the main property. Options for visitors are tailored for the horse rider however you don’t need a horse to visit and enjoy what The Croft has to offer. You can also spend time with the horses here with a variety of experiences available as extras and as part of package deals and our flag ship Back in the Saddle retreat option. Bookings require pre approval so I can make sure that horses are available if you need a retreat package and to make sure that everything will be ready for your arrival. There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night. If you are a rider and have your own horse, there is also a great dressage instructor in Blackbutt – Yarralee Dressage Development – who you can book lessons with during your stay. If you are wanting more western discipline work, I can provide you with some basic instruction on patterns and ranch trail tips. The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away . I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area. THIS IS THE AUSSIE BUSH so please if you cant handle smells and snakes, try the HYATT in NOOSA!
