The cabin itself provides a peaceful retreat, equipped with a comfortable bed, fresh linens, and all the amenities you need to feel at home. Powered entirely by a solar 12v system, the cabin provides a sustainable off-grid living experience. On The Wild Side

A basic but clean and tidy fully self contained cabin (amenities block is approx. 30m away from the cabin), built in part of a larger structure, located 100m from the main farm homestead, on a small rise above the bank of the Wild River. Guests are able to access the river which can vary in size depending on the time of the year. There are 100's kms of tracks which can be accessed from the property suitable for mountain biking, hiking, horse riding or motor bikes (we do not allow motor bikes to be ridden on our property other than to come and go while accessing the surrounding State Forest Tracks or main roads). The property is isolated and situated .5 kms away from our nearest neighbours, so is suitable for those who will enjoy a quiet time in nature. Most times of the year it is possible to have a camp fire along side the river. During the wet season it is advisable to have a 4WD or at least a vehicle with higher clearance vehicle to access the property. As a licensed caterer for many years, I am able to provide Meals & Snacks should you require them. We do offer horse rides on 2 of our quiet horses, conditions apply. If you have your own horses that you'd like to bring we can provide you a 4 acre paddock for your horses to use.

The house is facing opposite the main house which allows for privacy and own access. KUR Cow Farm Stay

Kurcow Farm was once known as Barnwell Farm. Coffee was extensively grown throughout the Kuranda/Myola region in the early 1890's until frosts wiped out large numbers crops in the early 1900's. Robert William Warren purchased portions of the land at Barnwell in the 1890s and established a coffee plantation on the property which was named "Downtown Farm." Dairy cattle were bought to Barnwell by William Henry Barnwell in 1936 and by 1939 he had managed to successfully establish for a dairy farmer and was advertising for a dairy hand with remuneration of 25 shillings per week and keep. Dairy cattle remained on the property until some point following World War II. It has been said that William Henry Barnwell was one of the earliest cattle farmers in the Myola and Kuranda areas to carry Droughtmaster cattle. He was well regarded as a 'cattle man' in the Myola area. Opening to public in August 2018, Barnwell Farm now welcome visitors daily from all over the world. Offering its guests an interactive, Australia cattle experience with a little adventure thrown in also and exquisite cuisine. Our accommodation consist of 2 cabins sleep 2 adult and 2 children, the room is not interconnect but fence with our private court yard for dinning. Price include Petting Zoo entry for 2 adult and 2 children, camping is permitted for inhouse guest only. tent is available for hire. Guided Horse riding and ATV tour is available daily and minimum age is 4 years old for horse riding and 6 years old for ATV. Breakfast and lunch is available on Saturday and Sunday. Sunset Wagyu BBQ offer daily.
