We camped on sites 6 & 7 with 5 adults & 5 children, the serenity was great, slight road noise but did not bother any of us at all there was a fantastic amount of bird life to listen to that over shone the cars. Kids spent a lot of time either in with the animals (ducklings were my son’s favourite) or swimming in the creek, we took little blow up boats & that was a hit! Cafe food was delicious, Moreton Bay Bugs were soooo good! Then they also had cocktails for $10 at 5pm & again so delicious. Both Steve and Ingrid were both so friendly & approachable. Only thing I’d pick on if I had to was the state of the bathrooms, old & not very clean but I will still be back despite this as the rest of the place was so good 😊

We loved our stay here! The hosts were lovely, the site is beautiful and it’s located so close to everything. We went with our 2.5 year old and 8 month old, and stayed in a tent near the creek. The 2.5 year loved playing in the creek, the petting farm and bouncy castle were also a hit. We loved the on-site cafe, which had delicious food and great coffee. We have already recommended to friends and will definitely be returning.

Great spot to camp with the family. Plenty of swimming, exploring, farm animals and even a cafe and jumping castle. Morning coffee was fabulous and the hosts where lovely. Would be great if the female shower had better privacy other then just frosted glass.

We loved everything about this place, The cafe is the perfect spot to sit and have a coffee or a bite to eat while you watch the children with the animals, jumping castle and playground. We ate dinner at the cafe on Saturday night and all we could say was wow! The food is sensational and the cocktails went down a treat. Ingrid and Steve should be very proud of what they have created here.

I did a 2 night stay with 3 kids and 2 dogs. The stay was amazing with a lot to do for the kids. The facilities were clean and well maintained. After talking to the owner it seems like this place will only get better. The food was amazing and I would strongly recommend the pancakes. This will be a regular spot for me and my family.

Great little spot in Sunshine coasts hinterland nestled at the bottom of a valley. Please note that this is DEFINITELY 4WD ONLY. As soon as you pull of the road, there is a steep drop off to drive down to the checkin shed, and a steep 4WD track to drive down to the camp grounds. The track is very well maintained, but best to have some 4WD experience before staying here. The facilities are also great. Ryan and Tara are wonderful hosts. Overall wonderful spot and really enjoyed our stay. Perhaps would have appreciated a bit more of a visual idea of the track before booking here. Took us by surprise.

Wow wow wow, what an amazing place! We arrived and were greeted by Ryan the property owner, just a genuine bloke whos laid back approach sets the vibe for the entire property. We went for the backup spot reserved for those on site 4. Let me say even though we could have made it up on to site 4 the allure of a running creek right beside your secluded camp was too much for us to resist. We took our dog (kelpie cross) and she had the best time, so much so that she slept the entire trip home. Ryan was so helpful with information on produce markets and bric-a-brac markets also. Can’t recommend this place enough, and can’t wait to get back!

1 night at Pims Mountain Retreat
We enjoyed our time at Pim’s mountain retreat! The unobstructed view of Mount Coonowrin is breathtaking. There’s also a potable water tap that you can use. The campground is close to the Glass House Mountains town and a stone’s throw away from cute towns like Maleny, Montville and Kilcoy. The only thing to be aware of is that the grassy area in the dip next to electricity pole is extremely boggy when wet. We accidentally drove into it and got our vehicle stuck, which took a lot of work to get out of. Make sure keep off that area.

We enjoyed a nice little getaway for a couple of nights. It's close proximity to activities within the hinterland and coast makes it a great base for day trips. Ryan was very helpful with suggestions of local destinations to keep the kids happy. Although the camp sites are well spaced out, you can't beat a night all to yourselves. I would recommend staying on for a Sunday night. Cheers.

We are a very short 900m bicycle ride from the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BRVT) which is one of the must-do cycle treks in the southern hemisphere. If you or your crew need a place to stay while riding the trail then this is perfect for you. The town of Esk and two major dams are very close by where you can browse the antique shops, waterski, or fish to your heart's content. UPDATE as of Easter 2025 - creek is flowing, grass is growing. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills. Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting. Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal. NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors and single-night bookings. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. Purchased in 2022, the property is slowly being returned to her former glory as a stunning tree lined, creek haven teeming with wildlife, flora and bird life. What we offer- 1. Enclosed Kids Space, very very tame sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys n geese and a jumping castle onsite which is open 9am to 2pm daily. (Note: campers can use for free) 2. Our licenced cafe onsite is open from 7am and serves delicious coffee, breakfasts, lunches, cold beer and on Friday nights - fish n chips! Got a group? We can make dinner for you with notice. Want a cold beer while the kids play in the kids space? We have it here for you. 3. Your camping area creek side is for tent camping only. The sites are a metre from the tree lined creek edged with giant granite boulders and water running most of the year. Cross the sandy creek bed by 4wd to unpack your tent and set up. Your car can be parked safely next to it. 4. Have a pop top? Then we have spaces in a more public space next to a narrow creek spot depending on your size. 5. What else? We have a shower n toilet located a short walk from your site via torch light or bring your own portable toilet. Town water is available as well. 6. Tennis court available to play on or for the kids to run on. Just book a time with us when you are here. We charge $20 an hour. Please note that we are next to a road and as such, you will have some road noise so as much as the location is highly convenient if you want absolute silence, this is not the place for you.

Hunchy Hills 4WD Bush Camping

Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced in towing off road. No caravans sorry, too steep and tight. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit and log seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Suitable for vehicle based campers/swags/small tents with a sense of adventure and best with max 2 people. We have a backup spot too if access is too difficult. Pets (on leash) are welcome, please ensure you pick up after them. Kids (15 and under) are free and are not counted in the maximum number of guests. Firewood is sold at the check-in via an honesty box. $20 per bag (22kgs approx.) Travel down the gravel road for about half 900m and pop out through a tree tunnel to a secluded 2 acre cleared grass paddock where the toilet & sites 1-3 are situated. Site 4 is on top of a small hill separate to the main camping area. Site 5 is in its own cleared paddock, looking out to bush. Site 1 is in shade in winter and partial sun in summer. Site 2 is in shade in the morning and afternoon sun all seasons. Site 3 is in morning sun and shade in the afternoon all seasons. Site 4 is in morning sun and shade in the afternoon all seasons. Site 5 is in shade in the morning and afternoon sun all seasons. ACCESS INFO SITES 1-3 & 5: STANDARD 4WD or walk in. ACCESS INFO SITE 4: LOW RANGE, VERY STEEP, EXPERIENCED 4WDERS WITH MIN AT TYRES. A seasonal creek runs through the property. We are located 3 minutes from Montville and 7 min to Palmwoods. There's plenty to explore in the area with short drives to the many attractions including National Parks, Glass House Mountains, the famous Rick's Garage Diner, wineries, micro breweries and more. Go fishing at Baroon Pocket Dam and have a swim at Obi Obi Creek or Kondalilla Falls or Gardeners Falls. If you're after some saltwater it's a 30 min drive to most beaches on the coast.

We offer 4 peaceful sites with direct river frontage for self-contained caravans, campers and tents. Campfires permitted in fire pits provided. We offer complimentary kayaks and tyre tubes for guests use, BYO life jackets if required. Bring your fishing rod and fish from your camp or a kayak. You can try panning for gold in the river. Please note we do NOT have amenities or drinking water and that you need to be self-sufficient and bring everything you need with you and take out ALL waste. The road to the campsite is an all-weather access road. The campsite is also easily accessible with 2WD vehicles. A FAIR USE POLICY applies to guests who intend to camp as one party. It is a great spot for scenic photography, a base to explore the many hikes and climbs from in the surrounding National Parks. This site is located in the middle of the Glass House Mountains with wonderful views of Mt Coonowrin. Note: This site does not have any toilet or shower facilities so you will need to be a self-contained camper and bring your own. You can bring your own firewood from local service stations or other sources to be used in the firepit. Bring your hiking gear, your mountain bike and definitely bring your camera as the views are stellar. The craggy peaks of the Glass House Mountains tower above the surrounding landscape. They are so significant that they are listed on the Queensland and National Heritage Register as a landscape of national significance. Walking tracks lead through a variety of open forests to lookouts with panoramic views of the mountains. Some tracks are suitable for all levels of fitness and others include more challenging grades including rock scrambling skills. There are other challenging summit routes and climbing sites for experienced rockclimbers and abseilers. Or you might want to pull up a hammock and just laze the day away.
