We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here.
This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here.
No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling.

The lodge consist of two double beds, a set of bunks and a fold out futon in lounge room. The lodge has a fully equipped toilet, shower and basin which consist of a hot water system.
Spend your time enjoying all types of water sports - kayaking, relaxing on a floaty or just a lovely swim- and a spot of fishing as we restock the dam every couple years. Some of the most popular catches are Golden Perch (or Yellowbelly) and Australian Bass with Silver Perch also stocked in the dam. Mary River is down the road 4km and a great spot for fishing. The national trail runs along the river and is a great spot for walks or bike rides. We have a number of horse riding camps in the nearby area as well.We have fire drums available and well behaved pets are welcome. The Fishing Hut is located on our working Brahman cattle property. It is completely self contained and perfect for families. It has 3 bedrooms (one queen bed, one king bed, and a kids room with two sets of bunks) all fully air conditioned. Your dog must stay in the area in front of The Fishing Hut. No dogs are permitted behind the The Fishing Hut where we have our cattle yards and our own dogs.

There are plenty of places and thing to go see and do, such as exploring the Bunyas & National Parks, dams, lakes, The Rail Trail and there are also some lovely wine properties near by.
The little town has an IGA and most things you will need, we have animals on the property horses and 9 border collies, so if you are an animal lover you will love it here.
