    The Fishing Hut is located on our working Brahman cattle property. It is completely self contained and perfect for families. It has 3 bedrooms (one queen bed, one king bed, and a kids room with two sets of bunks) all fully air conditioned. The fishing hut sleeps 9 people, any additional guests will have to supply their own bed and bedding. Indoor kitchen including a dishwasher and an outdoor kitchen including a pizza oven and a BBQ. Sit back and enjoy the panoramic views of the Mary River and the surrounding bush land while sitting around the fire pit. We have quite a few local pubs around that are happy to take group bookings if you’d like a night off cooking. Pets are welcome but need to be kept on a leash and contained at all times. Please be respectful of the fact we run cattle and have our own dogs on the property. Your dog must stay in the area in front of The Fishing Hut. No dogs are permitted behind the The Fishing Hut where we have our cattle yards and our own dogs.     More than a hill view!

    We had a great stay at Hillview. Every amenity we could need was accounted for and we enjoyed fishing, swimming, campfires and a stunning view in comfort and privacy.

    Amazing place! Fishing, cows, country side views near metres from the Mary River?! That's just the tip of it, Katy and her fam run a great place. We arrived to a cattle farm that looked like country paradise, our beds were ready, kitchen ready and chill ready. Fishing was easy, the hike down to the river was only short, less then 100m. It could be a bit tricky but once down there, there was no desire to leave, fish hit every few minutes, sooties were on fire, and although not on the desireist, catie's where huge, a 52cm fat one was caught! The bbq kitchen is well set up, did our dinners perfectly. The rooms are comfortable as, out 2 small pups loved em. Bird watching is top notch, brown eagles, sea eagles, osprey, green and rainbow lorikeets, swallows, and more to watch. Roos, cows, pigs in the watch out for too. Katy has beautiful little secret Qld hide away here, right in the middle of the greatest place on earth.

    An unreal weekend away on a beautiful property. Katy was an amazing host and very accomodating. The fishing hut exceeded all expectations, the camping area was spacious and the beautiful view made for an experience we won’t forget!!

    Had a great stay at this camping site, the views were breath taking and the fishing spot was very successful. Definitely recommend to anyone especially with a big group of people. Would visit this spot again!

    Amazing spot and Amazing Host

    Amazing space! Perfect to camp and take the makers who don’t have camping gear as the hut has plenty of beds and a fantastic kitchen facilities and bathroom with awesome shower and a toilet! The outdoor covered area is perfect for when the weathers isn’t being kind! Already planning our next stay! Also Katy the host was amazing, friendly responsive and was so great with all my thousands of questions prior to coming.
