You may meet any of the three different species of kangaroos, echidnas, or 85 species of birds including wedge-tail eagles and peregrine falcons who call Spear Creek home. The owner operators of this tourism business are fourth generation, whose families have been farmers and graziers on this land for over 130 years.

Here at Pichi Richi Park, there are a number of signposted walking tracks ranging in distance from a few km up to a 10km+ loop. The Heysen Trail comes through our property for nearly 7km and some of our own walking tracks link with the Heysen as it meanders through our property. You can also ride your mountain bike around and the Mawson Bike Trail is not far away. We have over 1,000 acres of land around our accommodation that we do not graze as we are allowing this beautiful piece of Aussie outback to return to its original and pristine state. We are not a caravan park, so all campers and caravanners that come here get a fair bit of space and nobody is on top of anyone else. Quorn is our local town and is 13km away to the north. Quorn has 2 pubs, a number of cafes and a little supermarket that is open from 7am to 8pm 7 days a week. Stay in quiet Terowie, in a fully fence 1 acre paddock by the old Catholic Church, walking distance to the tiny township which is slowly becoming a ghost town. The old Church is a beautiful sandstone building, built in 1888, that is gradually being renovated to become a home. As well as amazing sunsets, fresh country air and beautiful stars, you'll find chickens, kangaroos, galahs, echidnas and other wildlife passing through.
