At The Landing you'll be surrounded by big beautiful old gum trees in a peaceful farm setting. You'll see a variety of bird life, kangaroos and maybe even a koala or an echidna if you're lucky. The Landing is also situated right in the heart of the Adelaide Hills Wine region with amazing wineries, restaurants, cafes and quaint country towns right at your finger tips. Lot 100, Howard Vineyard, Murdoch Hill, Artwine, Bird In Hand Winery, Simon Tolley Wines and Barristers Block Wines are only a short drive away. So we really do have the best of both worlds; stunning views, peaceful surroundings and award winning wineries and eateries close by. And after a day of touring the region make sure you're back in time to watch the sun go down because the sunsets are spectacular. So don't forget to pack your comfy camp chair, a bottle of wine or beer, and a cheese platter and get ready to relax and unwind at The Landing at Hay Valley. Please read and note the following: 1) Please note our base price of $30 per night is based on two people per night, even if there is only one guest staying. It is an extra $15 per person per night for any additional adult guests or $10 per child per night. 2) We only book one group at a time at the site so if you book you'll have the whole area to yourself. 3) There are no toilet/shower facilities available so please be self sufficient. Spear Creek Holiday Park

Set immediately adjacent to the Western slopes of the Flinders Ranges in the middle of a 21,000 acre working sheep station providing privacy, security and an experience like no other. Spear Creek is located 25 kilometres south-east of Port Augusta, only 12km off Highway 1. Our eastern boundary follows the summit of the ranges north from Horrocks Pass, with walking trails through deep gorges to range top views of upper Spencer Gulf. The Holiday park is nestled amongst 600 year old river red gums adjacent to the ranges. You may meet any of the three different species of kangaroos, echidnas, or 85 species of birds including wedge-tail eagles and peregrine falcons who call Spear Creek home. The owner operators of this tourism business are fourth generation, whose families have been farmers and graziers on this land for over 130 years.

Edgehill Farm Stays Riverton

Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great coffee, cafe, and pub meals are available in Riverton. IGA food store is open 7 days a week, and a lovely clothing Boutique, Sassy Lass, is also open most days. Tarlee Hotel has the best meals as well. Important Information to know before booking: All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead Wood can be delivered to your site for a small fee, but please let us know a few days before arrival if needing, so we can process your order, or your welcome to bring your own. Strictly no chainsaws on our properties please. We are fully off grid camping, so generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest. There is a shared basic long drop toilet located near the south site but feel free to bring self contained units or find a nice tree! The campsites are located at the top of the hills in a pasture paddock so please make sure your dogs are on leashes at all times. The 2 sites are separated by a fair distance so there is plenty of room to enjoy for everyone even with large groups. A perfect spot to pitch a tent and admire the beautiful starry nights on the secluded hilltop The Clare and Barossa Valleys are only a short 45 minute drive away if you’re interested in a day out at the wineries. Or the lovely historic town of Burra is a 30 minute drive. The campsite is also conveniently located on the lavender trail which provides great scenery walks or cycles taking in the amazing view. There is a great Pub located in Robertstown which has cold beer and meals on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights if you are looking to get out of cooking for the night. The post office is also a great spot to duck in for a coffee and a chat to the locals. Whether it’s the breathtaking sunrise, the stargazing, the walking trails or bumping into a friendly kangaroo or 2 this campsite will not disappoint. Important information to know before booking: - All campers must check in before 5pm. - You will be situated on a hill so please no driving or walking past the allocated safety signs. Therefore it may not be suitable for young children and caution must be taken at all times - Pets are allowed as long as they are on a leash at all times - No chainsaws allowed, firewood available to purchase on arrival - Fires are only permitted during the appropriate seasons - No dumping of rubbish or toilet waste, there is a dump point located at Robertstown - No motorbikes or rally driving - Can get windy on top on the hill on certain occasions - Strictly NO caravan or trailer access via Hills road, we will send an alternate route via point pass or Ngapala road

Marron Bush Escape

Welcome to Marron Bush Escape, located in Gosse, in the Western River area (western end, near Flinders Chase National Park) of beautiful Kangaroo Island! This is a beautiful, remote, rural 250 acre private property, it is home to a number of sheep, features dams that have Marron and boasts the best that nature has to offer. Rest assured, you will not see any neighbours on this property; just picturesque landscapes everywhere you look! It is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Penneshaw, where you get off the ferry. We offer powered and unpowered camp sites, as well as a bush, cabin. Camp fires (small) are allowed when fire restrictions allow. There is a fire pit that can be used when there is no fire ban, with barbecue plate and camp ovens for old-style bush cooking or cooking up your fresh organic Kangaroo Island Marron. There is a drop toilet at the back and external lights and an external kitchen sink with hot and cold water. There is one drop dunny and limited rain water (you are welcome to bring your own drinking water if you need extra). For your convenience, there are recycling and rubbish bins at corner of Snug and Colman’s Rd for all waste disposal. On half of our property we have sheep and lambs in the paddocks. Bring your camera, and you just might be lucky enough to see little lambs playing and even being born. We may also be shearing and invite you to see how this is done. The other half of the property is untouched natural scrub with grass and trees 12 foot tall. There are koalas, eagles, kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and lots of other native animals and a creek with small waterfalls. In winter time the ground can be boggy, so a 4WD is desirable and will allow you to explore further. From the cabin, make your way down past the dams and go through the shiny gate at the bottom of the hill (please close the gate behind you). Here, you'll discover 125 acres of untouched Kangaroo Island wilderness with walking trails to explore. Keep an eye out for koalas, kangaroos, wedge-tail eagles, wallabies, large grass trees etc We also have two small lakes that you can have a picnic by or drop some Marron nets in for a fresh feed. There are weighing scales provided at the shed so you can pay for them. This is on an honesty system- so please do the right thing, as we have already been burnt from the fires. You must contact me if you wish to fish for marron prior to catching any. There are no shops or restaurants close by (stock up before arriving!) and you will need to travel down dirt roads but you will really have the opportunity to get off the grid, get back to nature and make memories in the stunning, untouched, Kangaroo Island wilderness! Beltana Flinders Historic Town

Located at the end of a bitumen road in the town of Beltana, the campsites are adjacent to the local hall. There are showers, toilets, a free BBQ in the community park , mobile phone coverage and potable water available We are the closest campground to the new Nilpena Ediacara National Park. Beltana is a State Heritage listed town in Adnyamathanha country. Beltana is important as it is the home of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, was influential in the establishment of the Overland Telegraph and was important is the states early settlement. Beltana has survived in spite of the challenges and has an excellent walking trail detailing this history for visitors. There is capacity to have a fire in a communal fire pit, but please bring your own wood. Dogs on leashes welcome. This campsite offers a safe and comfortable place for campers who are travelling through on their holiday and need somewhere to stop overnight, but two nights is recommended to give you a chance to visit this historic town. The town is significant is South Australian history and there is interpretative signage that provides the visitor with an informative trail. Whilst with us visit the new Nilpena Ediacara National Park. We have the closest camping facilities.
