Take the opportunity to use as a base to visit the Florentine valley, Mt Field and many other nearby attractions. The tranquillity and privacy will leave you a wonderful feeling of peace. This is a wonderful place to unwind, take a swim with your dog and just hang out with the very special access to the lagoon. The yurt has been there for about 14 years and we have hosted many different groups such as rowing events, parties with bands, bike riding groups and horse riding, amongst other enjoyable activities. There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. I will consider opening more sites only for single groups on application.

The block is a natural timber and grassland block, with devils, quolls and wombats also residing here. We have one powered site available, and multiple unpowered sites. There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife. A keen fisher fish in our dams for trophy size rainbow brown and brook trout catch and release fees and rules apply

The surrounding mountains create a dramatic backdrop for Hill Top Farm. Our farm displays an abundance of natural beauty, with crystal clear springs and a diversity of mature and rare forest timbers. There are numerous well known walks to do nearby, Meander Falls, Mother Cummings Peak and Smoko Falls to name a few. Huntsman Lake is a great favourite of fly fishermen and kayakers alike, there is also a very pleasant picnic grounds there, swimming hole and boat ramp. The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic. As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.

The camping site is located in a beautiful location overlooking the lavender fields, in bloom december/january, with the ever-changing Mt Roland in the background. On days with cold southerly winds, alternative campingsites are available on the farm. Please contact us to find out. Includes use flushing toilet, hot shower and laundry (external access). Approx. 300m from the campsite. We are pet friendly. We've got room for up to 5 separate bookings. Due to shortage of personnel, we can no longer offer the farm tours. Hope this will change coming season 2024/25. But hipcampers are welcome to have a walk on the farm. We are working together with other organic certified farmers. They lease parts of our land to grow vegetables. Hipcampers are welcome to have a walk around their crops as well. Big news: we have started to build a tearoom with possibilities to organise herbal workshops and give education about growing and using medicinal herbs. . Stringybark Bush Camp

Stringybark is a quiet 80 hectare rural property in the North East of Tasmania, featuring bush, native grassland and 4 beautiful lakes. It's the perfect place to kick back and relax, enjoy the views, the abundant wildlife and refreshing swims in the lakes on the property. If you feel like going for a wander, you can spend hours exploring the bush and native grasslands on the property and if you're keen on climbing the hill you get rewarded with amazing views over the Great Western Tiers. Why not take your mountain bike up there and enjoy the downhill ride afterwards? Sunsets are spectacular at Stringybark and the skies phenomenal during clear nights. Although it feels like the end of the world, surrounded by bush and wildlife, we're only 30 minutes drive from Launceston CBD, Ben Lomond National Park and Josef Chromy's winery and only a 20 minute drive from Launceston Airport, making it a perfect base to explore Launceston and surrounds. You need to be fully self contained and there are no amenities. But there is a beautiful lake with jetty to swim in. We live on the property, just a stone's throw from the camp site, so if you ever need anything, just shout out. Dogs are permitted, however strictly on lead only to protect the wildlife and our sheep. If your dog gets very excited around wildlife or sheep, this may not be a suitable stay, since they might come right up to your camp. Please note, that Stringybark is a working property and we currently have some exciting building projects going on around our Tiny House and big shed. While we'll always respect your privacy and keep noise levels to a minimum, please be aware that tools, building material and other rural property stuff can be present at any time (never on the campsite though). Please ALWAYS supervise children and pets, particularly in the following areas: -bush and grass areas where snakes can be present most of the year -around the shed where we store farm materials -around our lakes which are not fenced in

The Bunkhouse at Camp Infinite

Located an hours drive North West of Hobart near the quaint little town of Ouse (pronounced - ooze) and set on the pristine Derwent River. Like so many of the towns on the Derwent River, this region is very popular with bushwalkers, fishing enthusiasts, and mountain bike riders. Overlooking the "pot-belly" of the Derwent River, This place is a fishing and kayaking heaven . Have a swim in summer, kayak or go for an adventure on your mountain bike. There are two kayaks and two SUPs you are welcome to use. And there is a boat ramp just a few kms down the road to launch your boat. The Bunkhouse is a beautifully built structure, with large windows and plenty of space. It's two storey, with the upper open-plan level accommodating 8 people in single bunk beds. A further two guests can sleep on the large sofa bed downstairs. The bunkhouse is fully self-contained with a kitchenette, toilet and shower.Clean sheets and blankets . Wi- Fi and streamed TV movie channels Please note - this is not the ritz! It's a simple bunkhouse, providing shelter to sleep, in a great location. If you wish to make use of the firepit, you'll need to BYO wood, this firepit is not often used. Instead, we'd recommend bringing a small portable bbq with you to set up by the river! You're welcome to bring pets too.

Cressy is Tasmania's only 'troutified' township as the local area is a mecca for fly fishing. Located 34 km south west of Launceston, Cressy is a small, attractive, and historically significant town which came into existence in the 1850s to service the surrounding wheat farms. Very nice back yard hidden from the street. Views of the mountains.

There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife. A keen fisher fish in our dams for trophy size rainbow brown and brook trout catch and release fees and rules apply

**Please note that it's $20 per person per night. Small farm and vineyard at Macquarie Plains in the Upper Derwent Valley, southern Tasmania. The property is 380m from the junction of the Lyell Highway and the Gordon River Road. It has 450m absolute river frontage on the River Derwent (no riparian reserve). The river here is freshwater, potable and a renowned trout water, (licence required). Three kilometres from the village of Gretna. 4WD Preferred. 2WD need to assess river access. Campers need all own amenities and leave no trace. Dog friendly but please see rules, we have livestock and so dogs need to be well controlled at all times. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place (see rules around campfires). Due to hydro generation activity, the river may slowly rise or fall up to 1m (often without rain) so please be careful around the water.
