2 nights at La Bena Tarkine Sanctuary
Kash’s place was fantastic, we used it as a base for Rocky Cape and Wynyard both which were in easy reach. Great spot under a tree , had a fire every night and had the whole place to ourselves for the weekend. Plenty of wallabies around and a creek on the property. Would certainly stay again if in the area. Thanks Kash👍

I don't really want to leave a raving review as it was such a nice surprise to find we were the only ones there for the weekend. Huge area with plenty of options to find your ideal spot. Next time we will park up on the hill to maximise the views. Easy to find, 20 minutes from Beauty Point for great fish and chips, quiet with just the sounds of the birds and ocean. 5-10 minute walk to the beach which is quite sheltered.

We enjoyed our stay. If you can get up on high ground there are some great views. Lower ground has good choices of shade or sunny spots. Handy to the beach and not too far from Beaconsfield and Beauty Point. Thumbs up without getting too excited about it.

We had such a great stay. So easy to book. The location was beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. The campground was spacious and we loved the friendly atmosphere, & how pet-friendly it was. The host was welcoming and made everything easy. We’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet escape in nature. We loved the short walk to the beach. Great location, peaceful, tranquil and amazing views from the campsites higher up the hill. Lots of space for families to bring their kids and walking distance to the beach and Narrawantapu national park. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful space to camp at, open area with lots of shelter for shade and from any wind. Both areas had a fire pit for communal use if you did not have your own. We stayed down the bottom of the hill but walked up the top before anyone else arrived and the views were great.

Lovely spot! Our site was very private and close to the beach/creek but others look less private so choose as you need. Owners are lovely! It was great being dog friendly and the facilities were good too. Hot showers, washing machine, and well maintained camp kitchen.

We are located on 25 acres of serene, private bush and pasture that bounds the Narawntapu National Park. We have a beautiful beach that's only a 3-5 minute walk away.Our property offers lots of space for you to choose the ideal private spot. Take advantage of the beautiful views or if you prefer, choose a spot that is more sheltered.  Guests are required to fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions in place and you can bring your own fire pit. You can help yourself to fallen kindling around the property but please BYO firewood and do not fell any of our trees.Pets are allowed but as our neighbours have sheep please ensure they are kept restrained and under your control at all times. Please clean up after your pets.Across the road is a beautiful beach for swimming, fishing, picnicking and relaxing. There are great National Park walking tracks with stunning coastal views close by for guests to explore. You will need a Parks Pass to do this and they can be purchased online.

La Bena Tarkine Sanctuary

Our 34-acre property is nestled on the edge of the ancient Tarkine rainforest on the north west coast of Tasmania (approx 1 hour 15 min west of Devonport and the Spirit of Tasmania). At La Bena, you will find a relaxing and quiet place to park and camp, that will give you easy access to our wild surroundings. On the property, we have a short but enchanting bush walk to our local creek (great place for a picnic!) that will take you past some giant man ferns, myrtles, celery top pines, pepper berries, and an assortment of gums and native currents. From 4WD tracks to pristine beaches, we are within a 30-minute drive of a huge range of activities and adventures so numerous options for day trips on your doorstep. Famous Boat Harbour Beach is only a short 15-minute drive away and just beyond that is Sisters Beach which has some great coves and hikes (Anniversary Bay) into Rocky Cape National Park that will take you along the coast to further secluded beaches and some sacred Aboriginal sites. If you head inland from La Bena you will enter the Tarkine Rainforest and travel along some great 4WD tracks that will take you to the Dip River Forest Reserve which has the big tree and Dip Falls - you can then head to Stanley for a meal at Hursey's Seafood and then loop back around to camp (a great day out). The camping area caters to self-contained campers only, so please ensure you have a camp toilet with you, and can take all waste when you go. Please leave no trace.

The site is in a simple, level grassed paddock situated within easy access off a country road, in Mowbanna. 10 minutes up the road is Dip Falls and The Big Tree. Along the way you will pass Blue Hills Honey Farm and The Colony Cafe (well worth the calories!). Back down the road towards the highway is the Millicent Valley walking trail and once back to the highway junction you can walk along several long, sandy beaches or head east to find Rocky Cape National Park with spectacular hiking tracks, swimming and fishing spots.
