Caravan campers have options in Devonport, the gateway to Tasmania.
If you're catching the ferry over to Tasmania—especially if you're bringing your campervan, motorhome, or caravan over from mainland Australia—Devonport will likely be your first port of call. Tassie's third-largest city is the ideal basecamp for a caravan road trip along the north coast, hopping out of your rig to hike at Rocky Cape National Park, explore the underground caves of Mole Creek Karst National Park, and tuck into farm-to-table produce along the Tasting Trail. There are powered and unpowered caravan campsites available at Narawntapu National Park and Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, but for full hookups and a range of amenities, you might prefer to check into a holiday park or caravan park. Summer (December through February) is peak camping season in Tassie, but bringing your rig means you can carry on camping even when the weather turns—just don't forget your umbrella!
