Jehoshaphat Gully, shelley Harris Track, Mt Jerusalem Track. Walking distance to Kinglake historic walk, cookson Hill Track, Mt Everard Track, Bollygum Park We have 2 dogs, 7 pet sheep, 1 blue tongue lizard & Soon to have chickens on the way. The farming area is completely fenced in, this is to keep the deer out, but you can venture out onto the property bush land with a guide or the correct map and navigation equipment. Eagles, cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, rosellas, king parrots, Gang-gang cockatoo, honey eaters can be spotted most days and lyrebirds if you’re keen to go looking. Small playground with swings, slide, monkey bars and sandpit. Taxi service - The graceful-Goat to get you are to the local eats & wineries. The Kinglake market is on the 4th Sunday of each month 10-2pm except December which is the Sunday before Christmas - twilight 2-7pm No market in January. This St. Andrews market is every Saturday just 12 minutes down the mountain.

The Fern Glade

Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places. And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant & rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. Over the years, we have revegetated the property with native and indigenous bushland, created a wetland that attracts many native animals including birds, lizards, possums and frogs to name a few. Enjoy a hidden country escape on our 5 acre property on the Mornington Peninsula. Property features a wetland with jetty, roaming peacocks, chickens and sheep in an open woodland setting. A relaxed country atmosphere conveniently located near beaches, wineries, op shops and restaurants. Up to 3 sites available (max 1 caravan/camper or 2 tents/dwellings per site) Ideal for groups or individual campers. Our property is surrounded on two sides by reserve, the Balcombe Creek and bushland. BYO gear and set up in the paddock. We will meet you on arrival and direct you to the campsites. Access to a flushing toilet and a cold water tap/cold water shower with potable drinking water. We prefer no dogs due to peacocks and sheep and our own dogs... but please ask before booking anyway, and we will accommodate on a case-by-case basis. We are a 5 to 10-minute drive to the beautiful bay beaches of Mornington and Mt Martha and a 20-minute drive to Westernport bay and the surf beaches. Close to the nearly 60 wineries on the Mornington Peninsula, an abundance of restaurants, Peninsula Hot Springs and other attractions such as Arthurs Sea Eagle cable car, Enchanted Maze Garden, and many amazing bush walks.

Murray River Bush Camp

Our property is located at Torrumbarry, very close, (3 minute walk) to the Murray River. It is a beautiful bush setting with plenty of shade, privacy and flat easy access that is perfect for all camping including tents, camper trailers, camper vans and caravans. There are no set sites as such, you may choose your own camping spot in the bush setting. Enjoy your favourite water activities, swimming, kayaking, fishing or boating. Bike rides and walks along the river. Or just enjoy the bush setting. We are within easy reach of the Torrumbarry boat ramp. The donkey farm is situated conveniently, halfway between the popular redwood forest, and the giant Ada tree walk. Just chill in your own time, or book an activity or a donkey ride. We also allow campfires only when fire restrictions aren't in place - which is often all summer. Children under 3 are free, but for insurance purposes, please mention them in the comments. This property has an overall capacity to ensure that our number of visitors remain low. This not only ensures that campers recieve the space and peace they look for in a campsite like this, but also so that we can ensure the bathrooms can be kept clean and not overloaded. This is also a part of our COVID safe plan. Due to this overall capacity it is important that you book for the number of people that you intend to have stay, as while we try to accomodate increases to booking numbers, they are not guaranteed unless booked. If we have met overall capacity then we may not be able to approve increases to booking numbers. This is for the comfort and safety of all our visitors. Rodborough Vale

There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields.

Nestled in the valley of a thousand hills, Strath Creek Station is your ideal quick getaway, being only a 1 1/2-hour drive from Melbourne CBD. Situated on 90 acres with direct access to the King Parrot Creek, we are dog-friendly and have a large secure dog park for your pooch to exercise and play, but dogs must be on lead in camping areas. There is a large flat camping area that can accommodate any size self contained caravan, including fifth wheelers or horse goosenecks. A large rustic rotunda with BBQs is available for those lazy afternoons spent relaxing by the creek. For cooler nights, there is a huge firebox.

The Fern Glade

Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places. And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant & rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. This property was originally part of a large farmland, divided into 5 acre lots. When we purchased in 1997, there wasn't a single tree on the place. Over the years, we have revegetated the property with native and indigenous bushland, created a wetland that attracts many native animals including birds, lizards, possums and frogs to name a few. Enjoy a hidden country escape on our 5 acre property on the Mornington Peninsula. Property features a wetland with jetty, roaming peacocks, chickens and sheep in an open woodland setting. A relaxed country atmosphere conveniently located near beaches, wineries, op shops and restaurants. Up to 3 sites available (max 1 caravan/camper or 2 tents/dwellings per site) Ideal for groups or individual campers. Our property is surrounded on two sides by reserve, the Balcombe Creek and bushland. BYO gear and set up in the paddock. We will meet you on arrival and direct you to the campsites. Access to a flushing toilet and a cold water tap/cold water shower with potable drinking water. We prefer no dogs due to peacocks and sheep and our own dogs... but please ask before booking anyway, and we will accommodate on a case-by-case basis. We are a 5 to 10-minute drive to the beautiful bay beaches of Mornington and Mt Martha and a 20-minute drive to Westernport bay and the surf beaches. Close to the nearly 60 wineries on the Mornington Peninsula, an abundance of restaurants, Peninsula Hot Springs and other attractions such as Arthurs Sea Eagle cable car, Enchanted Maze Garden, and many amazing bush walks.

Overview

There are so many ways to go wild in Victoria. Fall asleep to the boom of the surf from your beachfront campsite, drive one of the world's most scenic coastal roads, glamp it up in the middle of a vineyard, or touch the sky in the snow-capped high country. If it's animal encounters you like, you'll love the penguin parade on Phillip Island and dolphin swims in Port Phillip Bay, as well as the chance to see koala colonies, mobs of kangaroos, and platypus-filled streams. Plus, the bonus to Victoria is that nowhere is more than a day's drive from Melbourne—many of the best campsites are only a few hours drive from the city—so you can cram a lot of fun into a relatively short amount of time.

Great Ocean Road

The Great Ocean Road west of Melbourne is one of the world's great scenic road trips, but there’s much more to see and do than snapping a selfie at the Twelve Apostles rock stacks. Zipline above the rainforest in Great Otway National Park, climb lighthouses, watch whales, surf iconic Bells Beach, and pitch a tent on any one of several beachside camping areas. Road tripping doesn't get much better than this.

Gippsland and the Bays

Gippsland stretches east of Melbourne to the sea and north to the border with NSW. Most of the coastline is protected by a string of national parks with fantastic seaside camping spots and holiday parks—and camping at Wilsons Promontory (locals just call it the Prom) on the mainland’s southernmost tip is a must-do at least once. This is also where you’ll find Phillip Island, home to the famous nightly penguin parade.

The Victorian Alps

The High Country is the place to go for winter snow sports and summer mountain bike trails, plus bushwalking. If that sounds too energetic, it’s also home to the Great Alpine Road, one of Australia's best food and wine touring routes (and yes, the scenery is pretty good too).

The Grampians

In the state's west, the Grampians are another mountain playground with a network of bushwalking trails, from quick 2-hour walking tracks to 3-day hikes in the Grampians National Park. This is also where campers can find the highest concentration of Indigenous art in the state. Opt for bush camping sites in the national park or more luxurious campsites at Halls Gap or Dunkeld caravan parks.

Murray Riverlands

Australia's longest river, the mighty Murray forms most of the border with NSW to the north, and all along its length are great beachfront campsites from where you can go for a swim or paddle a kayak, catch a fish, or sit back and watch the world glide by. Elsewhere in the riverlands, ride a restored paddle steamer at Echuca, take a cruise through the largest river red gum forest in the world at Barmah, and dine out in the foodie hot spot of Mildura.
