The perfect weekend base to explore Metung and the surrounding lakes. Our converted country barn is set in it's own English country courtyard garden, away from the main house, so very private and peaceful. The sounds of the frogs send you to sleep at night and you have a choice of starting your mornings with a locally produced breakfast basket containing our own fresh eggs, and local bread and honey. Perfect for couples, but there is also a fold out single bed.

A shady bush retreat. On the edge of lots of motorbike tracks, approximately 20 minutes from Tarra Bulga National Park. Half an hour from the pristine beaches of Ninety Mile Beach. Lots of bushwalking to do and exploring the Mullungdung State Forest and surrounds. Property has 3 sheds, one is a bathroom, one is a kitchen and the other could be called the lounge room. Kitchen has small combustion oven and general kitchen set up, ‘lounge room’ has large fire to warm those cold nights, keep you out of the rain and even big enough to park your motorbike in at night, bathroom has a toilet and a bath/shower. Either sleep in the shed or bring a tent.

Hilltop Hideaway is situated 210kms from Melbourne in Seaton - Gippsland, Victoria. Just 10 minutes drive to the township of Heyfield and Lake Glenmaggie. This unique property is located on 150 acres of rolling hills bordering the State Forest. It has amazing views of the Great Dividing Range, as well as local towns, farmlands and Lake Glenmaggie. Our 10 square metre, 1 bedroom cabin sleeps up to 4 with 1 queen bed and 1 double futon in living area (bedding included). It has a fully equipped kitchen, open lounge dining area, bathroom, wood fire and is solar powered. We can accommodate up to an additional 16 people ($20 pp/pn) camping beside the cabin, with there own tent, caravan, swag, cutley etc. The property has an abundance of wildlife including Sambar deer, Kangaroos, Wallabies and Birds, which can all be seen by walking/hiking the property. Relax and unwind taking in the breathtaking views while sitting around the open campfire. You also have phone reception.
