Nestled in the Perth hills, less than an hour's drive from the CBD, this undeveloped bush block on a gentle slope offers views over green bushes and an established orchard. This peaceful land, away from the rumble of city life, lets you unwind with the sound of the wind in the gum trees and the tweets of lorikeets feeding on olives and fruits from the orchard. A few platforms have been set up at strategic locations (and with a view) for yoga, meditation, or chilling with a book and a glass of wine. These platforms are also the best spots to observe kangaroos grazing or resting. Though the property is on a slope, there are several flat spots for camping. The largest and most accessible spot is right at the entrance. A 4wd is recommended for the other spots, particularly in winter. The property has water (from a rainwater tank) and power at the main shed, where you will also find the amenities such as a sheltered pic-nique table, BBQ (BYO bottle), sink and toilets. If you need a dump point, we recommend the one in Bindoon. Also if you have bikes, there is a bike trail into Bindoon from the end of Teatree Road (4.1km). This is where the Museum, Arts and Crafts centre and Men’s shed are located. A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured. There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities. Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area. Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses. The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance. Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. Summer Creek was established in 1884 by Edward Vivian Harvey Keane. Keane was a prominent figure in the development of Western Australia, having constructed over 800km of rail around W.A. The property runs alongside the discontinued railway line, known as the Kep Track / Golden pipeline trail, which is part of the same railway network as the Bibbulmun track. The old winery building was saved by R and A Poulton, after a demolition order was places on it by the Northam shire in 2002. The property is now heritage listed, and the fight to preserve it from main-roads continues. Come along to Karaoke at the Restaurant every Saturday night!!! Our camping set-up is a work in progress so we would appreciate your suggestions and feedback, we now have a cold shower on site. There are horses and Scottish Highland cattle that usually greet you near the main entrance, and sheep and cattle graze the hill country and surrounds. Plenty more for nature lovers here, including red-tailed cockatoos that flock to the gully to feed on the Marri trees, plus many other birds. The resident Wedge-tail eagles soar above making the most of the thermals created from the hills and the local kangaroos Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads at ALL times as this is a working farm. You MUST bring your own camping toilet and be COMPLETELY 100% self sufficient with everything including drinking water We have a Leave No Trace policy, so ask that you please take all waste with you. Summer Creek was established in 1884 by Edward Vivian Harvey Keane. Keane was a prominent figure in the development of Western Australia, having constructed over 800km of rail around W.A. The property runs alongside the discontinued railway line, known as the Kep Track / Golden pipeline trail, which is part of the same railway network as the Bibbulmun track. The old winery building was saved by R and A Poulton, after a demolition order was places on it by the Northam shire in 2002. The property is now heritage listed, and the fight to preserve it from main-roads continues. Come along to Karaoke at the Restaurant every Saturday night!!! Our camping set-up is a work in progress so we would appreciate your suggestions and feedback, we now have a cold shower on site. This peaceful land, away from the rumble of city life, lets you unwind with the sound of the wind in the gum trees and the tweets of lorikeets feeding on olives and fruits from the orchard. A few platforms have been set up at strategic locations (and with a view) for yoga, meditation, or chilling with a book and a glass of wine. These platforms are also the best spots to observe kangaroos grazing or resting. Though the property is on a slope, there are several flat spots for camping. The largest and most accessible spot is right at the entrance. A 4wd is recommended for the other spots, particularly in winter. We have a passion for permaculture and in the early stages of setting up our food forest. Calming shady spaces with a cute dam to chill out next to! Perfect to lay out a picnic blanket and have a glass of wine and nibbles. Local pick your own produce farms nearby. We also sell our own free range eggs, jams, relish and pickles made from seasonal produce. Please note although we have multiple sites listed we only ever have 10 sites available as we rotate availability to manage the grounds. Any food scraps are welcome to be popped in the chicken coop they will love you for it 🥰 If you have any questions or additional needs please don’t hesitate to contact me. IMPORTANT! Summer Creek

Summer Creek was established in 1884 by Edward Vivian Harvey Keane. Keane was a prominent figure in the development of Western Australia, having constructed over 800km of rail around W.A. The property runs alongside the discontinued railway line, known as the Kep Track / Golden pipeline trail, which is part of the same railway network as the Bibbulmun track. The old winery building was saved by R and A Poulton, after a demolition order was places on it by the Northam shire in 2002. The property is now heritage listed, and the fight to preserve it from main-roads continues. Come along to Karaoke at the Restaurant every Saturday night!!! Our camping set-up is a work in progress so we would appreciate your suggestions and feedback, we now have a cold shower on site. When things dry out we will be able to do more work on the accessibility. Also, stay tuned for our glamping option yet to come :) Currently Adults only, no children. If you book during the week (Monday to Thursday) please arrive before 7:30pm and make sure you give us a call to we know you are coming, we don't always check these messages. Thank you :)
