$54/night for 2 people. Remote farm at the end of a road, no neighbours, and spectacular views of the Grampians (Gariwerd) that is most stunning in the morning as the sun hits Mt William. One camp site (one group only). The site accepts 8 people but if you are just two people you will have the place to yourselves except for the kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas and birdlife. The campsite is situated next to our family's holiday farmhouse that we visit sometimes, but only when there are no guest campers. There is a fire pit with grill plates available to cook over the fire (note open fires cannot occur when fire restrictions are in place). Campers have access to the flush toilet, hot shower and kitchen in the house. The house is a work in progress. We are slowly renovating the house, so it is a bit rough but it is clean and functional and you will have the place to yourselves. Please respect the locked private areas of the house. Campers are expected to bring their own cooking pots, plates, cutlery, camp chairs, etc. Only 4 km from Moyston where you can get great coffee and visit the historic Mine Walk. Halls Gap is 35km away or head through the mountains over Redmans Road that takes you the scenic route to Halls Gap (2WD accessible in dry weather). Kalymna Falls and picnic ground is a beautiful 15 min bush drive from the farm. Fresh water can be obtained from Pomonal Hall. Nearby, the townships of Moyston and Pomonal both have general stores for all your supply needs. Be sure to visit Halls Gap and the Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre, which provides information on local Aboriginal history and rock art. At the national park you will find trail, waterfalls and lookouts.

We are so excited to add out two girls Little Pattie (red and built in 1963) and Peggy Sue (mint and built in 1959). As soon as we get the toilet and shower ready, they will be listed. We also have ordered wood fired hot tubs that should arrive by Easter. We have heaps of animals -goats, sheep, horses, miniature horses, dogs, cats, and pigs. We have two milking goats We have fresh eggs in season. We can supply fresh rain water. There are two dams, which could have yabbies (we did put them in there). Locally, there are many attractions which you can see and do. Ballarat and Ararat are approximately 30 minutes either way. Ararat has the historic J Ward for the criminally insane, and Aradale Asylum. The Grampians National Park is 1 hour away. Skipton Rail Trail is close by as well. Beaufort has cafes, Op Shops, pubs, galleries and all the takeaway regulars. Beaufort Market is currently not running, Avoca (40 minutes away) is the fourth Sunday and the huge Talbot Market (40 minutes away) is the third Sunday in the month. Dogs are welcome, as long as they don’t chase the animals. There are no facilities here, but we will have a toilet and shower for the March long weekend, and we are hiring a portable toilet for the Pyrenees Hideaway.

Enjoy the serenity! Bring your horses and your dog, bring your guitar, a good book, even bring a golf set and a bucket of balls. You will have 80 acres of stunning country all to yourselves. Only one booking taken at a time. No one else will be anywhere near! Self-contained campers only, please bring in what you need, and take all waste with you. Base price covers up to 8 people, with capacity capped at 12 people.  The land is characterised by rolling hills, covered by mostly open grassland, with patches of gum trees for shade, and a dam and creek. There's also a native eucalypt forest right across the road with miles of fire trails for walking and horse riding. In the cooler months, the land turns from shades of gold to greens.  There are no facilities, its just you and the land (bliss!) so ensure you have everything you need with you, and take all your waste when you leave.  If you fancy fresh fish for dinner, just down the road is Tuki Trout Farm, or nearby Cairn Curran Reservoir and Tullaroop Reservoir are great for fishing. The tourist villages of Newstead, Clunes and Maldon are all a short drive away, and Daylesford is just 35km drive.  Campfires are permitted when fire bans are not in place. NOTE: We do offer the neighbouring 50-acre paddock for hunting/shooting - with conditions. Please note, this activity is offered separately to our Hipcamp operation and needs to be organised with us directly. Also, we do not allow hunting/shooting next door, if there is a group camping already.

My property is just under 4 acres, with a dam and a small orchard area. It's a small piece of paradise just 7km out of Beaufort, and conveniently situated between the Western Highway and the Sunraysia Highway. The campsite is located at the far end of the property, and borders the Waterloo Bushland Reserve and Reservoir, with plenty of options for bushwalking. Waterloo was formerly an old gold mining town and now attracts gold detectors. The property is on a slight rise and the views over the farmland and beyond are beautiful. It is an ideal spot for people passing through to pull up for the night, or spend a day or two relaxing in peaceful country. Campers need to be fully self-contained. I do however have drinking water available. You are welcome to have a campfire weather permitting. Kangaroos come down in the evening to feed, and I also have several sheep on the property, so whilst I allow pets, they must be kept under control. Beaufort is a short drive away, where you'll find essentials including a supermarket, chemist, cafes, op shops and hotels. The house is only minutes from the campsite but your privacy is assured and I am certainly available to assist you if needed.

A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. IMPORTANT: We do not offer toilet facilities, so all campers MUST be self-contained, and take all waste with them. In order to protect the fragile river system, strictly no dumping of waste or greywater on the property. Waterski boats are strictly prohibited. A short 10 min drive to Beaufort gives you access to supermarket, cafes, petrol stations, chemist and hardware store. Also two pubs and several cafes for delicious meals. Waterloo was an old gold mining town and the remnants of an old gold mine and mullock heap are a close walk from the property and interesting to explore. The farm is a place of serenity with beautiful views, bird life and kangaroos.
