Sites are well spread out and it’s very peaceful, a few kangas and emus strolling through adds to the experience. No frills but just bring them with you in the van . Great spot!

Loved our time at Old Man Emu, John and Greta are great hosts. The sites are a good size, sandy with plenty of shade.
We loved watching the kangaroos, emus and even a few black wallabies come down to the swamp in the afternoons.

Old Man Emu
22 ft travel trailer · Group trip
We camped for the second time at John and Greta’s Old Man Emu. A quiet, spacious camp where emus, kangaroos and many varieties of bird life can be seen. We love the easy and quick access to Halls Gap and surrounding towns but also just relaxing at the camp and enjoying the amazing stars at night. John and Greta are lovely hosts and we highly recommend their Hipcamp.
