Creature comforts

Peace in the Pines is a quiet oasis located 5 minutes from Nevada City and less than 10 minutes from the Yuba River. The pictures speak for themselves. We have one campsite that includes a place for a tent, and there's an outside shower, the trailer has a stove, refrigerator, cooking equipment, a bed and flush toilet. If you're looking for a place to escape and relax with beautiful views, this is the place for you. This site is at the end of the road so you will have lots of privacy. There are trails close by, even one you can walk to Nevada City on. It's a 6 mile round trip hike along a water ditch and the ground is fairly flat and easy to walk on. Nevada City offers some nice restaurants and fun nightlife.

Great place to relax
With pets
Renee’s little camper area is amazing! Exactly what we needed! Has everything you could need, from a comfortable bed to the hammock and chairs and fire pit. The outdoor shower is nice and a fun experience. We were there for our anniversary and she left us some champagne and there for Easter and we came back to cute little bags of Easter goodies. It’s very secluded in an amazing way but not far from Nevada City and Grass Valley.

Another relaxing stay at Peace in the Pines! We really enjoy this location - it's private, well appointed, peaceful and beautiful. Great location, close to the Yuba, hiking, town, restaurants, and plenty of options for exploring. Renee is a wonderful host, very thoughtful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Renee's place offered one of the best experiences we've ever had. It was serene, calm, beautiful and the awesome hospitality can't be described in words. If the weather cooperates, this is the best place to be ... for cherishing moments with your loved one.

Peace in the Pines lived up to its name - it was extremely peaceful and we loved being out there. Tons of stuff to do on site (swings, hammocks, campfire, cooking, etc) and the towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley were a convenient short drive away. Plus, Renee was a very kind, helpful, and responsive host. Would love to come again someday!

Lovely Place to Restore
With pets
Renee has created such a lovely sanctuary, with attention to detail that goes above and beyond. From the well provisioned kitchen to the lady bug rocks marking the trails up to the fire road....it was just a lovely retreat. A fire pit to easily start up, a fabulous view with a huge hammock, many chairs and a rain sheltered porch. This is a wonderful place to rest, restore and enjoy the "peace in the pines."

Don’t even think about it, DO IT!
Wow this place was exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing get away from the city. Close to tons of hikes on Yuba river, the Nevada city downtown area and little markets/restaurants for whatever you may need. Renee went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and experience was awesome in every aspect ! Highly recommend and will be back! Also absolutely loved the campfire and outdoor shower so awesome!
