Adventure-filled glamping with sea views to savour

If you’re looking for the perfect blend of adventure and comfort on the North Devon coast, Livit Glamping is the place to be. Now run by Mark and Meagan, our campsite offers a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere that’s ideal for couples, families, and groups looking to make the most of the great outdoors.

Set within the stunning grounds of Westacott Farm Campsite, Livit Glamping provides a range of experiences tailored to active adventurers. Whether you’re keen to surf, paddleboard, coasteer, climb, or unwind with yoga, we’ve got something for everyone. Our easy access to the South West Coast Path and proximity to some of Devon’s best beaches mean that swimming, hiking, and sunset strolls are just moments away.

When it comes to accommodation, we offer two types of bell tents: a basic pre-pitched option for those who like to bring their own gear but skip the hassle of setup, and our luxury glamping tents for those who want a stylish, stress-free stay. Our luxury tents feature king-sized beds, private kitchen shacks, and fire pits—perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.

Cosy evenings are a highlight at Livit Glamping, thanks to the addition of log burners in our bell tents. There’s nothing quite like warming up by the fire with a glass of wine or a good book after an action-packed day. And for food lovers, our wood-fired pizza nights and hearty campsite breakfasts mean you’ll never start or end the day hungry.

With hot showers, clean toilets, and washing facilities available, you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Whether you’re here to challenge yourself with new activities or simply soak in the beauty of the Devon coastline, Livit Glamping is your perfect base.

Beccy and family
Sarah and Kevin were super lovely hosts and have put a lot of thought and care into their site. We had a really fab stay, and they looked after us very well. Make sure to grab a pancake for breakfast on Saturday morning - they are too good!

First time campers
Great experience for reluctant campers The tent was surprisingly spacious and clean, everything we needed was available. Shower and toilet facilities were also kept very clean. Great location for access to local beaches. First time campers but we’d definitely do it again.

Beautiful place.
We absolutely loved our stay at Westacott farm. Sarah and Kev were so welcoming and helpful. We all loved our four nights in the beautiful surroundings, and the bel tent was so nice.

Nearby attractions

There’s no end to the coastal activities on offer in this stretch of the south west, and many can be arranged directly with Livit Adventures. You’re in safe hands with Kevin and Sarah –- both are qualified instructors and Kevin is a British Masters kitesurfing champion. The South West Coast Path can be picked up a mere 10 mins from the site, while the Blue Flag beaches of North Devon and North Cornwall lay within easy reach. Westward Ho!, with its long white-sand beach popular with kitesurfers, is only 10 minutes away. Idyllic Clovelly is about 20 minutes away, a historical fishing town notable for its steep, car-free cobbled main street and industrious resident donkeys, the only transport permitted. Admission to the village is priced at £7.50 for adults; £4.50 for children and guided tours can be arranged. Around 45 mins away you’ll find Bude, with its welcoming golden sands, pastel-coloured beach huts and (allegedly) the best Cornish pasties in the south west. A similar distance, Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay are excellent for surfing – the former is ideal for all abilities while the latter’s gnarly waves are strictly for the more experienced. Lundy Island beckons across the water from your bell tent – book a day trip across on the Lundy Island ferry (01271 863636). Golfers can enjoy the course at Royal North Devon Golf Club (01237 473817) – England’s oldest – while the North Devon Wake Park (07956 009047), Ultimate Adventure Centre (01237 880028) and The Milky Way (01237 431255) offer fun for all the family.

Food and drink

The onsite outdoor kitchen serves delicious homemade pizza on Saturday evenings and simple breakfast sandwiches and pancakes are available at the weekend. Local produce – including the farm’s own free-range eggs, sausages, bacon, and burgers – is available from the campsite farmhouse, along with ice creams, cold drinks, sweets, and other essentials, from Easter to October half-term. For the big shop, there are supermarkets in Bideford. Pub-wise, the nearest is The Thatched Inn (01237 471321) – a lovely traditional watering hole within walking distance in Abbotsham. A fixture of the community for the past 400 years, its picturesque walled garden makes it a perfect spot to while away the day. The Pig on the Hill (01237 459222) in Westward Ho! Is a cracking gastropub serving quality dishes in a down-to-earth, country pub setting. You haven't tried a real traditional Devon cream tea until you have been to Tea on the Green (01237 429406) and ordered their famous giant scones. Located in the center of Westward Ho!, this multi-award-winning eatery serves amazing cream teas (named after Hollywood legends), doorstop sandwiches, delicious cakes, and a deluxe hot chocolate to die for.
