Penn Meadow Farm is a beautiful 145 acre, family owned farm, nestled perfectly into the chiltern hills area of outstanding natural beauty. We’re just a 5 minute walk across our grassy fields to the oldest free-house pub in England (The Royal Standard of England) Say hello to our resident alpacas, sheep, pigs, pigmy goats, flock of 250 sheep and of course our lovely boarder collies. We aim to be a very relaxed spot to be able to rest for a few nights and maybe enjoying a nice camp fire in the evening.A very relaxed spot to pitch up a tent for a night or maybe. Our aim is to create a really laid back camping experience while being surrounded by the gorgeous chiltern hills area of outstanding natural beauty. We highly recommend The Royal Standard of England (Britains oldest free-house) which is just a 5 minute walk across our grassy fields.

Very relaxing campsite
9 ft pop-up camper
Very well set out campsite, 3 toilet/shower combos and tons of space, loved the pro-sensible-campfire ruling! Only 2 downsides was that the boiler wasn't working so cold showers and almost no flat space to camp on, but would go again

Disappointing
Tent
I was a bit disappointed with my stay. Both times I tried to take a shower the water was cold (first time when I arrived at about 7pm and again the morning I left, around 7am 2 days later). The track to the field is very very bumpy and steep and when it’s been raining becomes very difficult to navigate in a car. The field itself is not flat and the flat spots are either very far from the entrance and toilet shed or taken by the glamping tents. You have a constant roar of the M40 in the background so it’s not exactly peaceful. When I arrived (on a Monday afternoon) the toilet was blocked with diahorrea and the bins were full. There is no security gate so anyone could just drive into the site so I was a bit concerned, especially as I seemed to be the only person there. The shower block itself, though made out with posh taps and a decent shower cubicle, is basically a wooden shed and is full of cobwebs and spiders on the inside. On the plus there is a fridge and a gas hob. But all I really wanted was a flat patch of grass and a hot shower which for £20 a night unfortunately I was not able to find.

Tent · With kids
We came for a one night tent camping trip in October. The site was lovely with beautiful views and clean, pleasant toilets and showers. Our kids loved seeing all the animals - red kites, alpacas, sheep and pigs - and playing with the friendly sheepdogs. As parents we enjoyed that there was a nice pub for dinner a short walk away via public footpath.

Beautiful farm!
19 ft Class A · With kids
Beautiful quiet campsite. Great facility and clear instructions to get there. The farm has some animals, and two beautiful friendly dogs who came and play with our two kids all day. Definitely we will come back.
