Turtleback Ridge is a collectively owned farmstead perched on one of the fine ridges of Robertson County Kentucky. With 100+ acres of woods, plus fields and gardens to explore there is plenty of intrigue for those interested in a relaxing retreat into nature. Home of Turtleback Ridge brewery that brews a wide variety of ales and ciders emphasizing the local terroir through the use of local fruits and foraged ingredients. The taproom of the brewery operates Fridays: 5-9p & Saturdays: 12-9p. We close seasonally in early December and reopen in early March.Join us on the Turtleback Ridge Farmstead, a 200 acre collectively-owned farm boasting 100+ acres of woodlands, an ephemeral creek, holistically managed orchards and gardens, and Turtleback Ridge Brewery. The brewery is home to a quaint and cozy taproom with ample outdoor seating perfect for a quiet pint or a picnic in the woods. From March to December the farm/brewery hosts regular events including live music, star gazing, open mic nights, trivia and more. We strive to have regular food trucks hosted by local chefs on Saturdays. Pitch your tent surrounded by the woods and just a 2 minute walk from our on-farm brewery. Seating and a firepit located near the brewery. Just steps from your campsite there will be hiking/mountain bike trails allowing you to access the woodlands and creek. Plenty of flat areas for tents and campers but spots will be allotted on a first come first serve basis. Within just a couple miles of the farm you'll find Blue Licks State Park with hiking trails along the Middle Fork of the Licking River and even closer, you'll find historic Johnson Creek Covered Bridge. We look forward to welcoming you to the fine ridges of Robertson Co. Kentucky.

Rain or Shine, Turtleback Delivers

What’s not to love about camping just a short walk from an incredible brewery? Turtleback Ridge Farm is a fantastic host for the Kentucky Open Road Race Series, and I had the privilege of camping there the night before a race. Although the weather was dreary and the rain relentless, the property still offered a peaceful, spacious spot to pitch a tent and rest up undisturbed. I didn’t get to fully appreciate the farm’s beauty this time, but I’m already looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommend to anyone in search of a laid-back, convenient campsite in the area!

This was a great spot to camp with nice facilities and almost too easy access to delicious beer in the taproom.

We tent camped one night on Keegans' property. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, they immediately made us feel welcome at the brewery (which had good beers) and allowed us to pick a camping spot that suited our needs best. The site was quiet, we were the only ones there that night so the only noises were the frogs, owls and insects. There are farm dogs that wander about, and while a couple approached our setup, none bothered us or our dogs. I would definitely stay here again if we were passing through the area!

Perfect Place to Be

Keegan's place was just what we needed. Wide open space and quiet during the week. The taproom was open Friday and Saturday night for conversation and companionship. There are trails to walk and dark skies to view the stars. Loved everything about this place.

Amazing Farmstead! This was our first experience with Hip Camp and it definitely did not disappoint. Not only was the property beautiful and the perfect place to set up camp, the brewery had some of the best beers we’ve had in a while! 10/10 would recommend. Keegan, Kevin, and Jen were awesome hosts, we'll be back again!
