Private historic homestead site on a wooded ridge featuring rare (for this area) oak trees, grassy fields, and unspoiled nature, the Ásalda site is a 5 minute drive from Riverton (shopping and restaurants) and beautiful Sandy Bar Beach on Lake Winnipeg. The site provides plenty of privacy with opportunities for nature hikes, birding, cycling, campfire stargazing, etc. Lots of wide open spaces for a pet. Spring time offers a unique experience as the nearby wetlands come alive with an incredible chorus of frogs. Firepit provided, wood available.Nicely wooded ridge, easily accessible for normal vehicle (car, truck, small camper/trailer), high and dry with very form ground, oak and poplar trees, grassy meadows, lots of space to set up camp, fire pit provided and wood available (conditions permitting), amenities (stores, restaurants, bar, etc.) 5 minutes away in Riverton, swimming at beautiful Sandy Bar Beach on Lake Winnipeg 5 minutes to the east.
