We are a 150 yr old farm that is small and quaint. This beautiful spot sits on the precipice of a beautiful shaded ledge type setting with a brook running 50 feet below. The minute you settle down you are lulled into a peaceful, restful state, making it easy to fall asleep, or just relax. The Sugar Shack is ideal for two people. I suggest you bring your own sleeping bags. Additional bedding is provided. No electricity except at house and no heat. Completely weatherproof! Prepare yourself for a relaxing weekend. You have the use of the large back deck off the house. There is a propane grill and a propane fire pit should there be a fire ban. We have events and a farm store to visit enjoy the seasons! Enjoy visiting Franklin Falls Dam with miles of hiking, fishing, disc golf course, swimming hole and biking just 2/10 of a mile from your tent. Veggies / fruit to pick seasonally. We offer a farm store. We offer soaps, jams, herbs and hand spun hand knit or felted items to sample / buy. You can visit me on Etsy to see some of the homemade products. https://www.etsy.com/shop/EaglesAerie We offer fresh pork, and also offer a free breakfast on Sunday mornings. 30 minutes from Lake Winnisquam, Winnipesaukee, and 45 minutes from White Mountains. 20 minutes to Meredith, 20 minutes toBristol and 25 minutes to New Found Lake area Come have fun! Remember, you’re coming for a peaceful rural experience with an introduction to farming / making things from the produce grown on this farm and other local farms. This is an old Sugar shack converted into a glamping spot nestled overlooking a 50-75’ drop to a brook and surrounded by the tallest evergreens. As you sit and relax on the deck, you are facing the west and the sun sets with the trees filtering the beautiful hue of the late afternoon / early evening sun light show. A Very comfortable queen size foam bed inserted in a complete surround tent keeps you snug as a bug at night and bug free. Also small camper toilet is in the cabin for emergencies but you are welcome to hike two minutes to the house and use the bathroom along with the shower. Sunday morning breakfast is all inclusive. I abut Franklin Falls Dam property which offers hiking, biking, swimming, snowshoeing, fishing and snowmobiling. You are in a busy neighborhood but far enough back and in the woods to feel relaxation and privacy yet close enough to shopping and local events. 2-4 more people can join your group but will have to use the accompanying tent site. Come check out the farm store or see what events such as soap making or felting animal fibers or canning etc etc….you can join in! From Oct-Feb prices increase as we offer heat and winterize to make your stay more comfortable. From March 1-May 1 we are closed for Winter/Spring clean up

I had a fabulous weekend relaxing at the sugar shack with my dog! The sugar shack is strikes the perfect balance with the feel of a rustic camp while still being comfortable abd sheltered. The bed is super cozy and the porch is the perfect spot eat and relax overlooking a pretty stream. Rickie, the host, is an absolute gem. She is very welcoming and helpful and had multiple great recommendations for places to visit nearby. She made the most delicious breakfast on Sunday morning and we had a long chat on her beautiful back porch. I hope to come back soon!

Perfect re-entry into camping
Ricki was an incredible host, and we loved our stay at the Sugar Shack. This was my family's first "camping" trip since our son was born, we couldn't have asked for a better setup. The sugar shack is perfectly rustic to give you a proper camping experience, with nice clean amenities nearby (bathroom, hot water, etc). The fenced in porch and doors are great for young ones, and my son slept in the tent with us at night, but you could bring a pack-n-play with mosquito netting. Ricki is a good old-fashioned host and makes you feel right at home.

We needed a weekend away to relax and recharge. The sugar shack was the perfect place to unwind and reset. The first night it down poured . It was amazing to sit on the covered porch of the shack wrapped in blankets watching the rain come down and listen to the brook below. We left feeling great and ready to take on the daily grind.

Great Stay
Tent
We booked a last minute stay with Ulrike. Loved the instant book feature. It was storming and me and my friends were coming up to hike the next day. All the other campgrounds were closing because of the flooding so we were very appreciative of Ulrike letting us stay the night.
