Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Situated on the edge of the Blue Mountains escarpment, our property has sweeping views overlooking the Sydney basin all the way to the coast.
Camp atop our trigonometry point (the highest point in the district) and watch over the city as the lights turn on at dusk. Perfect for NYE and Australia Day fireworks 🎆 or some weekend tranquility just one hour's drive from Sydney.
You can use the property as a base to explore the area. It's only 30 mins to Bents Basin, a deep waterhole that forms part of a gorge on the Nepean River, offering swimming, fishing and walking tracks.
We are pet friendly! Campfires are also allowed, so you can enjoy the spot around a crackling fire.
Campers must have own amenities and leave no trace.
This campsite offers stunning panoramic views and is conveniently close to Sydney, making it a popular choice for a quick escape. While many campers appreciated the picturesque vistas and starry nights, some noted the presence of cow pats and overgrown grass, which could detract from the experience. The site is generally well-received for its privacy and the charm of seeing cattle, though the proximity to the road means some noise can be expected. Overall, campers value the site for its natural beauty and the ease of access from the city.
We camped here on New Year’s Eve it was a brilliant view of Sydney we were able to see firework displays across the entire horizon all the way from Penrith to the city was incredible! The site itself was great with incredible views and we would definitely come back!
Very tranquil. Lots of space to walk around and for the dog and kids to run. Beautiful views, yet disappointed that there were no cows, as shown in the photos. The kids and I were really excited to stay on a property with cows present, but it looks like they've been gone a long time. This should be mentioned.
Had a great stay. If your dogs aren’t good with livestock don’t bring them. The cows are very friendly and luckily our five dogs have been around cows heaps. Will definitely be back.
Lovely view but grass was overgrown and cow pats everywhere. For the price I would expect the camp site to be well kept. The road was quite noisy at night even inside a caravan but the view made up for it.
