Located on the stunning Tumut River, where River Red gums are scattered though out the camp, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilets (3)otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

Large river frontage
Heaps of space to spread out along the river. Friendly host. Beautiful setting amongst a working cattle farm. Tumut river offers great fishing. Will stay again.

We enjoyed camping at Bahwidgee; beautiful grounds, cute cows, easy access to the river. Communication with Wayne was easy, and directions were straight forward. There were other sites nearby, but overall it was quiet and peaceful.

Great riverside camp

We've stayed here quite a few times and we've enjoyed the stay everytime. You get to camp beside the beautiful Tumut River and a great outlook for a camp. It's close enough to drive back into town with plenty of options for food, cafes etc. The host Wayne is always welcoming & helpful. Well worth a stop.

Great camp right on the river, beautiful flat camp with a huge spread out area. Wayne is a great host and the camp is close to Tumut and there’s so much to see around the area.

Great spot, camp anywhere on the river. The host is a terrific fella. Not too far from town. Fish the river. We’ll be back. Thanks Wayne 👍👍
