All to yourself
100% of recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp felt private.
Brightwater sits beside Olney State Forest and Kuluwan Flora Reserve. It is a 50-acre farm with a lovely spring-fed dam, with our nearby campsite. The site contains van parking, an open pavilion, an open deck by the stream, a fire pit, and a dunny. It is private and secluded, and with just one group staying at a time, you are guaranteed the space to yourselves. There are many beautiful walking and bike trails in the area. Lots of wildlife to meet, including water dragons, wild ducks, and pythons, to name a few. There is also nearby evidence of the original occupants, the Darkinjung people. You are also welcome to bring a couple of horses! There's a safe paddock with a trough and nice trails in the area to explore. The Kulnura General Store and bottleshop is just 9km down the road for basic supplies. This site is by a lovely spring-fed dam and surrounded by bushland. It's around .5k from the main house and is completely private. You can swim in the dam, lie on the deck, scramble along the creek or walk/bike on the many trails in the area. Lots to explore! Pets are welcome. If you wish you could also bring a couple of horses. There's a paddock with a trough and nice riding in the area. Cath also has free range chooks and a garden so there are seasonal veggies and eggs if you want them.

This campsite offers a perfect blend of seclusion and convenience. Guests rave about the beautiful, private setting with ample facilities including a fire pit, deck, and clean toilet facilities. The dam is frequently mentioned as a highlight for swimming, and the surrounding walking trails offer a chance to immerse in nature. A few reviews note the presence of cicadas and leeches, which might be something to consider if you're sensitive to such things.

This was our first time using hip camp and we loved our stay! A perfect mix of being private and secluded with convenience of running water and not super far from town. From the walking tracks, the dam, the big shed and the sun deckk, bright water is delightful

We loved staying Spring Dam. Beautiful and shady camp, completely private with chairs, a shelter and potable water for us to use. So many frogs around at night and birds in the morning. Just a beautiful place to stay.

Amazing spot with lovely hosts and good amenities. We loved swimming in the dam, walking the nearby trails and disconnecting for a couple of days.

Amazing very private getaway! We have enjoyed every bit of it: from swimming in the dam, walking in the forest, making a big fire, having our dog savour every of it and sleeping in the shelter. Cath is a great host and everything is organised so that your stay is amazing.

Fabulous Hipcamp! We really loved our quiet and peaceful stay - so close to civilisation, yet felt so secluded and remote. The camp layout is perfect, we didn't even bother setting up our tent, just put our bed in the upper area of the big 'shed'. It felt super luxurious for a campsite - so roomy and clean, and the open deck area with sunlounges and a huge table was awesome. The outdoor sink was superb - so simple, but just so handy! Super clean drop toilet. Swimming in the dam was a highlight - the water was deep and clean and cool, and lazing on the huge inflatable in the peace and quiet was just magical. The dogs had a blast too, zooming around and cooling off in the dam every 5 seconds. Thanks Cath, we'll be back soon!
