With it’s large, secluded Bush Campsites, 'Chapman Valley' is still Sydney's best kept secret! Picture this. Your weekend escape is relaxed from the very start - the car trip along the scenic winding Putty Road is slow and leisurely as you know you can arrive at any time for the self serve check-in. After signing in, you meander through this Beef Cattle farm, heading to your own designated camping area. A private corner of the property all to yourselves! After setting up camp, and showing off your awesome (of course) campfire lighting skills, you sink back in your camp-chair and listen to ...the bush. And you see ...the bush. Not a single other camper in site. Oh, except the ones you invited with you of course! There they are. The kids running enthusiastically across the open paddock chasing after their footy, with Buster, the family dog happily nipping at their heels. "They'll sleep well tonight!" you think to yourself happily, as you sink further into your camp-chair and take a long drink on that ice cold beer. 1hr drive from the nearest town (Singleton), "Chapman Valley" is the perfect oasis for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. There are no nearby shops so be sure to bring everything with you. The property offers over 100kms of bush tracks ideal for walking, push-bike riding or 4WDing. On site-horse riding is available, offering rides ranging from 1hr family rides to full day experienced rides. Check out our website for a full list of offerings. The Communal camping area is within walking distance of our amenities block, which offers flushing porcelain toilets and a hot shower. Bush campsites are fully self-sufficient, BYO (bring your own) water and toileting system. All campers are required to take their rubbish home with them as there are no bins on site. Sites available for all vehicle types, from buses and large caravans to fully kitted out off-road vehicles.

Private Bush Campsite - 2WD access
Green wattle 1
We love returning to Jess’s land, it’s absolutely breathtaking! From sitting down and listening to the song of the birds, watching the cattle in the fields or getting to see the horses pass by, there is always something beautiful to enjoy. Signs and maps were very detailed and super helpful and the roads are all very well maintained. Will be returning again and again.

Semi-Private 2WD site
We'll be back
Great camp sites, all well spaced out so feels very private like you have the property to yourself. Some nice mild off road 4WD tracks around the property. We will be back.

Private Bush Campsite - 4WD access
Secluded paradise!
We loved our campsite (Round Top 4). Loved the peace and quiet this campsite offered, and well spaced away from other campsites. We enjoyed walking some of the paths of the property, noting some other great campsite locations. We will be back for sure!

Semi-Private 2WD site
Peaceful bush camping close to Syd
We loved tent camping here! We were a group of families in a 2WD Semi-private site 10 minutes walk from the communal amenities, and there was no one else around us - just amazing! Loved getting out of Sydney and away from crowds. Good mix of bush / hills / creeks for exploring and walking, as well as open spaces for the kids to play cricket, soccer, tips etc; paths for cycling and horses to ride; and paddocks with cattle. It was great to be able to have a campfire and gaze at the brilliant night sky there. There was a generous sense of trust from the owners around their property and cattle, they were really helpful and friendly. The only thing I'd suggest is for an extra toilet or two to be installed at the communal amenities. Regardless, we're definitely coming back!

Communal Campsite
We had a fantastic time at Chapman Valley over the weekend, 1st time with Hipcamp and what a memorable experience it was. The entire property was spotless. Each bush camp site was very private and easy to get to, once I figured out where I was going,🤣 we had a slight issue with our original site but Jess and the team were more than happy to help accommodate and privided us with a fantastic alternative. The peace and quiet was bliss, our kids enjoyed, 1st ever horse rides around the property with the amazing Chapman Valley staff. Definitely be coming back for more weekend escapes.
