Meredith’s campsite offers a tranquil escape into nature, with the spacious grounds providing plenty of privacy and room to roam. Campers consistently highlight the peacefulness of the location and the presence of wildlife, including kangaroos and wombats, as key attractions. The facilities, such as composting toilets and outdoor showers, are appreciated for their cleanliness and functionality, though some mention the access road being a bit rough. The proximity to Merimbula and Tura adds convenience, making it easy to replenish supplies or explore nearby attractions.
I loved that it was basically camping in the bush but only a ten minute drive to town and beaches.
The sites weren't exactly secluded from each other but they were separated by large spaces and natural landforms. So yes private and each site was literally acres to yourself. Open land surrounded by bush. We were the only ones there at the time so it was absolutely beautiful quiet and private. I highly recommend 👌
Fantastic, spacious campground.
Even better, we were the only ones there.
Plenty of room spread over different campsites
Composting toilets were clean, showers were basic but more than adequate.
We bought a $30 barrow of wood which easily covered out 5 nights with a huge log to spare.
Meredith's son even drove it down to our campsite for us.
Meredith called us on arrival as we had driven past our allocated site, but didn't actually meet her till we were leaving. Everything was pretty self explanatory.
Added bonus of only being 5 minutes from Tura and 10 minutes from Merimbula.
Tha ks Meredith and family.
Such a beautiful location and site 10 was superb. Having the creek right next to the camp site was perfect for our Labradors. A must visit. We are looking forward to returning.
Peaceful with the sound of the creek and night insects to lull you to sleep. They may be a few horses wandering around your camp (but generally they’re elsewhere). Slightly rough access road so if you have low vehicle clearance, take it slowly. The host get pleasant and helpful.
