Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Located on the edge of Werakata National Park, this 45-acre property is a mixture of clearing, natural vegetation, a dam, and old outhouses. You are able to access bike riding, bird watching or nature walks in the nearby bushland. The camping spot is centrally located between Cessnock, Maitland and Kurri Kurri, giving you an abundance of experiences, towns, and history to learn about. For wine lovers, the wine region of Lovedale is less than a 10-minute drive away. There are no facilities here, so you'll need to be completely self-contained with your own camp toilet. Pets welcome, please keep them under control. This property has the convenience of bush camping with the convenience of town centre services near by (10 minutes drive). With the appropriate controls in place campers are able to collect firewood for their own campfire. Whilst the old buildings, campfire or the dam may not interest everybody, it is a launching pad to visit the nearby suburbs of Cessnock, Maitland, Lovedale and Kurri Kurri where you will find an abundance of things to see and do. The campsite is nestled a bit over 100m from the access road and offers privacy from passing traffic. You might even be lucky to see kangaroos, wild pigs and the odd deer! Mobile phone and data reception does vary depending your exact location on the property and network provider.
