Situated on a plateau at a height of 1130m above sea level, Oberon is on the western fall of the Blue Mountains. Enjoy the nearby spectacular scenery, Jenolan Caves, alpine lake, Mayfield and other fabulous cool climate gardens. The showground is a short walk to shops and restaurants, pubs and clubs. The Visitors information Centre is conveniently just across the road. Pets welcome on leash and under control.Oberon Showground offers primitive camping on gently sloping sites.     We thoroughly enjoyed this camp ground. Clean amenities. Easy walking distance to the Visitor Information Centre and the town. Friendly caretakers. Thanks for a welcoming visit to your town.

    We loved the camping and the people running it are friendly and very helpful and we definitely will be going back to Oberon as we had a fantastic time. Also the amenities are extremely keen and well maintained

    Very peaceful surroundings. A great base to explore from. We were here at the right time to see the gardens, as the waterlilies and hydrangeas were in flower. Overpriced, in our opinion, lovely though they were, but once they finish extending them they will be worth the entry fee. We enjoyed the local museum (only open for 2 hours) and found an excellent local Cafe.
