Situated upon a hill top, "Orangewood", is a 44 acre working cattle farm in the southern Orange wine region. When the holiday home has NO booked guests, we make this available for 1 lucky camper group. You park your camper/van or RV away from the house for privacy, peace and quiet on the Western side of the property. No one else will be at the property except occasional day maintenance people on a separate driveway to house. Have a lovely and peaceful stay on a farm yet you also get to wander around the gardens and experience the HUGE pool, many grassed and seating areas to relax with the wonderful views of the countryside. Kangaroos are now venturing closer to the house and there's lots of birdlife. Kid friendly too, kids can play on tree swings, ride bikes supplied in the shed, enjoy the wood play area. *** PLEASE REQUEST YOUR DATES and I will accept IF THERE is availability . DO NOT ASSUME your request is a CONFIRMED BOOKING** We have to manage these requests manually to avoid house booking clashes. *** What you need to know: 1. No guests will be staying in the house whilst you are camping. The owners however may be there for the day if cleaning or doing maintenance, but we will keep out of your way. 2. Best availability tends to be weekdays as the house usually has weekend bookings. 3. The Pool is only OPEN from Dec to April. It is not heated except for the solar blankets. It's a cool climate region so the pool is the warmest for Jan/Feb only. Shallow ends 1m with the middle of pool being 2m deep. 4. You are welcome to use all the outdoor entertaining areas although BBQ, utility room with laundry, toilet, multi purpose sink and very basic kitchenette is an additional cost. 5. We can't guarantee a resort style clean pool as this is a farm and leaves blow in and bugs. It gets serviced twice a week so there could be someone to pop by and check it during your stay. 6. Whilst the property is 44 acres in total, only a few acres is useable due to the cattle paddocks. 7. Optional BBQ, electricity power and optional utility/laundry room with toilet (all additional cost). There's no guarantees we can provide the extras if we aren't given at least a few days notice. Campers that are completely self contained are easier to accept with short notice.Welcome to Orangewood! This site is perfect for the motorised self container camper with a van/camper trailer or RV. Situated on the Western side of the property behind the Conifer pines over looking over the back paddocks. You can see Mt canabolas in the distance across neighbouring farms. With peaceful farm western views, you get gorgeous sunsets, kangaroos and see our cattle wander in the back paddocks. This site is shaded in the mornings because of the pines but gets the western sun in the afternoons. It's grassed/gravel combo with a concrete pad. We do not recommend tents only because its more gravel than grass and no guarantees you can peg into the ground safely. If you are unsure, please check with us first and we may be able to make a special arrangement for you to camp on the other side of the Pines. Please note whilst the CALENDAR LOOKS OPEN, WE MANUALLY HAVE TO MANAGE BOOKINGS DUE TO THE HOUSE BOOKINGS so please don't expect your booking will be accepted just because you lodge a query. We may already have a house booking. Things to note: 1. You can access the outdoor entertaining and pool area which is about a 50m walk back to the main house. You'll have the property to yourself. No one else will be using the house during your stay. 2. For additional charge: Electricity. Utility room. Laundry and toilet available, camper kitchenette basics. Brand new Bosch Washer and Dryer available inc basket and pegs (BYO laundry powder). A small mini bar fridge is available to use. NO SHOWER. 3. No water connection but you can connect power with a long 80m power cord. There is a tank rainwater tap water back at the house if you have a bucket or container to carry. 4. We deliberately put this camp site away from the immediate house vicinity for your privacy on the other side of the conifer pines. This keeps you away from the day maintenance people who can have large vehicles or trailers who need the turning space near house car parks. If you have a tent, please message us for camping on the grass on the other side of the pines. 5. We may need to mow whilst you are there but we'll keep out of your way as much as possible and let you know.
