Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Come visit the pristine beaches and breathtaking forests of the Sapphire Coast. Our 20 acres of forested land is nestled in the Mimosa Rocks National Park. The beach is just a bike ride or hop skip and a jump away. There is award-winning surf just down the road... any way you choose really!!! We live on the property with our 2 kiddos and love living off grid. We love how close it brings us to natural cycles and reminds us to live lightly. Come experiences the quiet serenity of the beautiful Far South Coast Bush. There are kangaroos and brushtail possum wander around the land and Glossy Back Cockatoos that gather at the dam near sunset every day. We are so lucky to live in a place where wildlife abounds. Come join us and experience these magical woods surrounded by stunning turquoise waters. The Cozy Forest Cabin is a secluded cozy cabin nestled in our beautiful forest of Spotted Gum and Casurina trees. We are a 2 minute drive from Bithry Inlet with world class fishing and that is just the start. There is more superb fishing north and south, bush walks aplenty and the sound of crickets, frogs and the dull roar of the ocean to lull you to sleep after a big day. If you want to explore further afield you can hop to Tathra, a 10 minute drive, for some oysters, a wood fire pizza or a meal at the pub. With a full kitchen setup with stove and running water you will be able to cook a beautiful meal and sit out on the patio to sip tea while you watch the kangaroos munch the grass. You will sleep soundly on the comfy queen bed and enjoy no sounds of traffic, city life or electric hum. With enough room to add a cot for some kiddos or do some yoga or write a book, this space can be transformed into your own personal oasis. During cold days you can cuddle up next to the wood fire and enjoy a bath in our beautiful outdoor firebath. This cabin has a flushing toilet and shower that we encourage you to use mindfully was we are off-grid and enjoying the ebbs and floods of rain events. There is ample parking and access to kayaks or bikes upon request.

Stunning!
With pets
Lovely, quiet and cozy cabin in the stunning Mimosa Rocks National Park. 2 Minute drive from Bithry Inlet and ten minute drive to main town Tathra. We loved our stay. We cooked every night, the kitchen was well equipped and we loved watching roo's hop in the yard while having breakfast. Kate and Joe were welcoming and helpful. Lucky to be one of the first to stay here! No doubt going to be very popular. We'll be back. Tip! If you have a dog, big FYI that you'll need to leave the area to take them for a walk as the property is smack bang in the middle of a (remarkable) national park.

A hidden gem on the Sapphire Coast
With kids
If you want a secluded spot in the forest then this is for you. If you want to connect with natural bush and some towering gums look no further. The description and photos really dont do it justice in our opinion haha! We didn't hear any machines, instead waking up to the cicadas and birds....a wonderful getaway which was cosy, clean and inviting. We slept so soundly! The hosts Kate and Jo were warm and welcoming, but note it's pretty basic...you're off grid with rain water, solar power, no phone reception and limited internet...so this is really a spectacular retreat for those who want to get away from it all! There's also wonderful bush walks and superb fishing within a few kilometres. Just bring your food or go to Tathra for supplies, about 15mins drive away. Thanks for hosting us guys. We'll certainly be back soon.
