Tiger's Rest is a vacant piece of land on both sides of the Pacific Highway with over 30acres of protected Koala forest. A tunnel connects both sides under highway. There is a spring fed dam to swim in. The property does get wet after big rain but there is always a dry spot to find for a good night's sleep. PLEASE NOTE: Highway noise depends on when you camp and which direction the wind is blowing in. :-) Guests must be full self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Pets are allowed.Tiger's Rest is a vacant piece of land on both sides of the Pacific Highway with over 30acres of protected Koala forest. Host was nice and responsive but we were quite disappointed when we arrived at the site. The grass was extremely overgrown and there was no where to set up our stuff. We ended up just leaving our trailer there and stayed in town.

site was not maintained very well, grass was waist height making it very difficult to camp comfortably

It’s a nice space and the dam was pretty, but the motorway was so loud it felt like sleeping on the side of the road. It was a bit unclear where we were supposed to camp because no spaces had been cleared or mowed and the grass was very long.

Disappointing stay
Tent
We were very excited for this camp as it was close the Byron and looked magical in the photos with well kept grounds and acres of space. Although sadly this was not the case, when we drove in there was a ‘keep out’ sign and piles of building waste upon entry. As we went further down the driveway into the campsite there was barely any space to camp the grass was unmoved and waist high. Before arriving Kate (host) said to camp further back in the property to get away from the highway noise but this was nearly impossible due to the height of the grass. The host was kind when we messaged to address this and said there is gravel near the lake although this was covered with horse droppings. If cleaned this place would be amazing

Good spot, Close to Brunswick Heads with plenty of room. Good communication from host. Expensive for a spot that doesn't have any facilities compared to some in the area.
