A modest set-up in the hills with choice of a provided caravan, your own small campervan, or tent. Gas hot shower shack with adjacent compost toilet provided in the paddock with a view. Neighbours have pigs and cows, and we have loads of wallabies and birds. There is access to 2 lovely forested walks down to a little creek where you'll find a shady picnic spot to rest and wet your feet. Feel free to pick from the circular communal veggie garden adjacent to the shower. 1.2km down the road is a great shady swimming hole on the large Tuntable Creek, also a great picnic spot and area to explore. There is also a dam here which dogs can swim in close to camping. We are only 5 mins from The Channon Tavern and General Store, with many nearby swimming holes, bush walks, and the infamous Protestors Falls on Terania Ck Rd. Eclectic Nimbin is only 15 mins up a scenic winding road, and Lismore is 25 mins away for all your larger shopping needs. The popular Channon Craft Markets is on every 2nd Sunday of the month.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to Rachel's we had a family drama. Even though I forgot to cancel my booking, Rachel processed a manual refund on our behalf. Incredibly thoughtful!! Thanks Rachel, looking forward to visiting your beautiful property soon.

We enjoyed our stay on Rachel’s slice of paradise. It’s set on a very peaceful hill side with a little stream at the bottom, which is bathed in shade. Being an ogre I personally didn’t try the shower but my partner said it had the best views of the valley possible (rivers only for me). What really stood out for us was the abundance of Scotch bonnets, habaneros or maybe possibly Carolina reapers growing in the vegetable patch. The waxy red shine to these chillies would definitely be a point of great interest to any fire breathing chilli lover!

Good value place to stay in nature
This is a really great value, all you will ever need, spot to stay hidden in the hills of the Northern Rivers. Rachel recommended a local swimming spot and I grabbed a ginger beer at the Channon Tavern after at her recommendation. Beautiful to wake up to mist over the mountains. It rained all night and I was snug and comfortable.

Excellent secluded camp. Great shower and toilet facilities clean and efficient. Good afternoon shade for the caravan but really a caravan is not recommended for this place because of backing out around a corner. Rachel is a friendly and welcoming host. Some very beautiful spots down by The creek secluded from the afternoon heat. Excellent to explore. Highly recommend 🙏
