Great location near Hat Head and South West Rocks This lovely 4 acre camping spot is situated at Kinchela on the tidal Kinchela Creek which runs directly into the mighty Macleay river. You can fish or set a crab trap, kayak, paddle board, bring the tinny or just relax and enjoy the water view and surrounding farmland. A few shade trees and quiet surroundings makes this the perfect spot for your next getaway. Fire baskets available. Conveniently located only a 5 minute drive to Gladestone shops and hotel. There is a tap and hose (town water) on site to wash the boats after a big days fishing at nearby South West Rocks (15 minutes) or Hat Head (10 minutes) Last Minute Bookings Welcome subject to availability 😊Lovely creek frontage campsite located in a rural area at Kinchela. Surrounded by cattle and silage farms close to Hat Head and South West Rocks. Relax and enjoy the water view and farmland with fire pits available onsite. The convenience of Gladestone shops - bakery, butcher, general store, chemist, fuel and hotel are just 5 minutes drive away. Smithtown general store and hotel are also 5 minutes away. You can fish, drop a crab trap, paddle board or kayak directly from the tidal creek. The mighty Macleay river is accessible by boat in a no wash zone just 1 km away. Town water tap and hose on site for drinking and filling caravans.

Windermere Campsite
This is farm camping done really well. Easy access to a flat, mown grass paddock alongside a small river. Host Mark is really easy going and helpful. Lovely, quiet spot to watch the sunset over the river and fields. Would definitely stay here again if nearby.

Windermere Campsite
We booked this stay last-minute on our travels and we absolutely loved it. Such a beautiful, quite spot amongst the farms. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves, it was very spacious and well maintained. Our 2 dogs and 2yo loved running around. We threw a couple of rods in the creek and had a beautiful sunset view. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks Mark it was a lovely stay!
