Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Writers Block is a secluded place to kick off your worries and relax in a tranquil, secluded setting. A place to plan your next blockbuster or finish that novel. Camp alongside the peaceful sandy creek, or set up anywhere you wish on the entire 50 exclusive acres. Fly in's welcome, with Baradine airstrip within walking distance."Bag your side mirrors!" Beautiful guests beware, birdlife is so prolific at Writers Block that you will definitely be visited by colored finch's, Superb Wren's, etc. etc. Place bags over your vehicle side mirrors to avoid the birds trying to feed them! Writers Block is located on the outskirts of the delightful small town of Baradine which houses the National Parks and Wildlife 'Discovery Centre.' (Admission is free.) This secluded property is surrounded by almost a million acres of the Pilliga Forest National Park where attractions include, 'Sculptures In the Park' The Sandstone Caves, Salt caves and the fire tower climb. Baradine is a crossover point for birdlife from the coastal regions and outback NSW, so don't be surprised if you are visited by the occasional wild wedgetail Eagle, shy Black Cockatoos, Kangaroos or the tiny vibrant finches and wrens of which the property is famous. The property is 50 acres and guests and free to roam, enjoy the trails, and camp in areas normally not accessible to guests. Writers Block is intended for peaceful, tranquil relaxation and freedom. When you visit us here at the Block, leave your worries at the gate and open up to tranquility, a stress free environment to chill out, drop out, and maybe plan that best seller book that's lurking in the background of all of us. This is the ideal place to clear your head and start something anew! Writers Block is a Primitive campsite where you really can get away from it all, but of course, you should plan to bring everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Can't wait to welcome you here. (Patrick - your host :)
