Young Macdonald’s Farm is 100 acres in the Shoalhaven region on the NSW South Coast. It’s a family farm that was historically dairy-based but is moving to regenerative agriculture. Your hosts are Mac and his parents, Gina and Shawn. The property is at the base of Brown’s Mountain, 15 mins from Nowra and the Shoalhaven River, 30 mins from beaches, 15 mins from Berry, and 20 mins from Kangaroo Valley. It boasts private and secluded spaces for camping, two creeks, and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. We want to share the farm experience and encourage you to be a part of our adventure as we begin this new chapter of a six-generation family farm on traditional Wodi Wodi land.

2. Over the Creek
Hosts with the most!
Shawn, Gina and Mac are generous hosts. Their property at Tapitallee is picturesque and private, designed such that it’s possible to overlap with other campers if you wish and secluded if you don’t. The compostable toilet is great, easy to use and doesnt pong. The fire pit, table/ chairs and optional bbq ( wood and smores) are all thoughtful additions and really useful. Our kids enjoyed feeding the farm animals and it was lovely getting to know our hosts. Highly recommend, it was a great mini break!

An amazing property with even more amazing hosts. Great distances between campsites. Shawn put in a lot of effort taking the kids around to feed the animals. We felt very welcome and cannot speak highly enough of the weekend

2. Over the Creek
Camping at Over the Creek was a fantastic experience. Shawn kindly guided us to the cmspsite which was a very large area perfect for a group family and friends and offered complete privacy. The facilities were great, a clean bsthroom and a composting toilet that addrd to the eco-friendly vibe. It was the perfect peaceful escape and I wouldy highly recommend it!

Shawn, Gina and Mac were fantastic hosts, we were personally greeted and shown around our campsite. The kids loves the s’mores that were an unexpected gift on arrival. Feeding the animals was a fantastic highlight for all followed by a relaxing evening around the fire. Highly recommend!
