Go offline for a great visit to this exclusive camp located in the Western Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York. Follow the short walking trail down the steps from the parking area to camp where you will find multiple great locations to set up a tent along our private brook which feeds directly into the East Branch of the Delaware River just a few miles downstream. We have also provided camp with a small platform that will fit a standard tent or can be used as place to gather up off the ground with room for plenty. Whether it's just you, a family or a larger camping party we are sure you will enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy our time here. Relax by our babbling trout-filled brook nestled amongst the Hemlock trees. There is plenty to do and see right here at camp. Be sure to experience all nature has to offer from its pure beauty to the plentiful abundance of wildlife. Feel free to stroll down the banks of the brook to the main house and back or just splash in the water. Perhaps try your luck with a fishing pole and catch some brook trout (NYS Fishing Permit required). To make your stay as memorable as possible we have provided our camp with plenty of space to choose a great tent site, a platform you can use to either put a tent on or just use it as a gathering area, a fire pit and firewood for campfires, rustic log seating, a picnic table, portable drinking water, BBQ grill trash removal and a composting toilet for when the other nature calls. Pets are welcome! Please be sure your pet is on a leash at all times! We have our own pets and nature has provided a multitude of wild animals that your pet could come in contact with and we would hate to have anything happen to any of them. Looking for more adventure to experience. Only a short few minutes (less then 10) from town where you will find lots to see. We are located just minutes from both the East and West Branches of the Delaware River where you can canoe, fish, swim or nature watch. Need even more we are just minutes from Bear Spring Mountain State Park which offers multi use trails, swimming pond and boat rentals. The local area also provides visitors with multiple covered bridges to visit just minutes from camp, local breweries, hiking trails, waterfalls, antiques shops, local restaurants, and so much more. Guests are responsible for providing their own tents, bedding and food. Roadside parking is available next to the campsite and can hold up to 5 vehicles with more parking available at the main house if needed.Go offline for a great visit to this exclusive private camp located in the Western Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York. What a great spot with everything you could need. The hosts have done a nice job providing several amenities including potable water, a grate for the fire pit as well as a separate grill and a toilet with washing station. I’d recommend 100%.

Our sons first camping trip!!
What a truly beautiful and tranquil site. Thad and Ruby were such gracious host and really put so much thought into building this site. We took our 1.5yr old son on his first camping trip this Memorial Day Weekend. We had great weather, (minus a lite thunderstorm Sunday night). Upon arrival, we pulled up to Thad and Ruby’s house and we were welcomed with a dozen farm fresh eggs (we highly recommend adding them to your experience). Thad took us down to the site and showed us around. They have every amenity you could ask for on a camping trip, including fire wood! The site is about 100 yards down a fairly steep incline of steps, and a small bridge over there babbling brook. We used their platform for our “Base Camp” kitchen and screen house setup, and found a level ground location for our tent right next to the brook. Honestly, this is one of the best sites and host you could ask for. I would recommend however, to be mindful of how much gear you’re planning on bringing due to fact of having to walk up and down the stairs to get to your car. We were “Glamping”, so our load in/out was a bit of work, but once we were setup, we couldn’t be more happy. Downsville, is about 6 miles from the site, so you can load up on any supplies needed. As much as we camp, this was honestly such a great trip. Will DEFINITELY want to stay here again!!

Gorgeous campsite w/ amenities
Tent · With pets
Ruby and Thad's camp is absolutely lovely. We had a wonderful time there and they are excellent hosts. Highlights for us were: the park grill and the campfire grill allowed us to cook on a small fire or big, access to the privy, no cell service, the welcome basket from our hosts, and the babbling brook that acted like a sound machine all evening. The entrance to the campsite is down a series of steps and across a bridge. We did not find the path too steep to manage, even in wet conditions, but those with mobility issues or children might.
