We pulled in late in the afternoon …as described, it is a short distance from I 84 . We tucked in under a large tree behind their home. The ground was very level . Jo came right out with the extension cord we had asked to use since the temperature was going down to 23 . Once set up we took a lovely hike up through the woods and agricultural land that border this property. Lovely views ! We will definitely stop in again as it is very hard to find a place to park our camper on the way south from Maine in the winter months. There is a lot to see in the area but we are usually just passing through. Thank you to the hosts .

The site was great for a quick overnight on the road. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The site was level and allowed us to pull the trailer through rather than having to back in.

It’s my pleasure to be the first to review Windy Acres! I camped out in the space behind the house in my teardrop trailer, it was nice and wooded and the hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. There’s even wifi! A few things to know if you want to camp here - the mosquitoes also love this wooded area so bring lots of bug spray! The camping area has a lot of dirt (will get muddy if it rains) so remember your tarp. There is no toilet and little privacy for a travel commode (I have a pop up privacy tent that worked great). But also there are many gas stations within a few minutes drive that will let you use a bathroom if you buy a snack or soda. There’s lots to do in the area! Walton lake is about half an hour away and allows inflatable kayaks (also good for other boats or floaties or just swimming in). I hope this review is helpful to campers, I definitely recommend staying here! I hope to be back sometime!
