1/4 mile hike, on a beautiful hiking trail, from a country road. Access to electricity and water along the trail. This campsite should give you the seclusion you want for camping nestled among towering Norway Spruce, but only a few miles from town. Plenty of room to roam. Check out scenic sites along our Loop Trail such as The Flower Tree, The Chicken Foot Bridge, The Treefort, PawPaw's Grove, etc. We've added a slip'n'slide and playground for family use.

Camping in Michael's Woods
We loved our experience! The camping site was beautiful! It's a little cozy spot nestled among tall trees. Plenty of privacy! We loved hiking in Michael's woods! The paths are well maintained while still very natural. Michael is a great host! He went above and beyond to make our experience a good one.

Beautiful, private site & nice host
This site is tucked in a clearing surrounded by pines, after an uphill but manageable hike along a trail leading away from the host's home. The little hike is worth it; you end up deep enough in the woods that you have privacy and don't feel like you're going to disturb anyone if you play a little music or something. That said, we brought more than we were willing to carry up - a portable grill, etc. But, we got our tent and air mattress, a large canopy, two chairs, and some lanterns, snacks, etc. up there no problem. We came down to check out Brew Week around OU anyway, so we didn't need to cook much. We were able to get Ubers back and forth for $10. I want to point out the hosts' kindness, too. This is a rustic site, as I'm sure you can see from the description, but during our rainy weekend there, they left some TP, dry firewood and a lighter with newspaper, and ran an extension cord as far as they could from their house so we could charge up or pump our air mattress. When we were packing up to leave, I found a bag with some Jackie O's beers and tshirts along with a thank you note for our stay. Very cool. Thoughtful and looked out for our needs, but minded our privacy. I really couldn't have asked for anything else.
