Welcome to our cabins in the woods at Villa Vida Loca, in beautiful Sunderland, Ontario!
Our tiny cabins are tucked away in the woods on our gorgeous, private 10-acre property in the heart of North Durham. We offer a unique glamping experience with all the benefits of camping, but with a roof over your head, floor under your feet and super cool amenities.

Had an absolutely terrible experience at this property. The washrooms were filthy, with no water available for basic handwashing. The barbecue area was disgusting—if you’re planning to cook, be prepared to lose your appetite. The lack of cleanliness made it impossible to stay, and we left within 5 hours of arriving.
Despite informing the host about these unacceptable conditions, they refused to refund our money. What’s worse—it was my husband’s birthday, and the host knew this, yet they didn’t even bother to maintain or clean the property. For the sake of earning $200, they ruined what was supposed to be a special day.
If you value cleanliness, basic amenities, and a respectful host, avoid this place at all costs!
We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin, having a campfire + walking through the woods after a fresh snow fall. Brian was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Loved how dog friendly the property is!
Fantastic hosts and a beautiful cabin. It was very peaceful stay in the middle of a snow fall. Walking outside the cabin in the middle of the night was extremely silent and peaceful. Having an ample of logs made it fun to keep the fire going. It definitely smelled like camping.
We loved the cabin! The land was stunning, and the cabin itself was so cozy—truly the perfect getaway from the crowded city. Its proximity to Uxbridge and Port Perry was super convenient, ensuring we didn’t have to worry about anything we might have forgotten. Highly recommend!
We loved our stay! Ann and Brian welcomed us like part of the family, we stayed for 2 nights over New Years.
The A-frame was beautifully built, and a perfect cozy getaway.
We cooked our food over the fire, walked around the nearby Quarry, and, of course, enjoyed the hot tub!
I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a cute, cozy, relaxing holiday away in the forest.
