My husband, Chandler and I were both lucky enough to have grown up in the beautiful Mt. Hood area. Now with hard work and determination we are raising our five children in this magical place. A few years ago Chandler sold a large portion of his company and we purchased our rustic log cabin. We love the idea of sharing our peaceful cabin and property with the world! We recently decide to put our primary home on the site, to allow us to catch up on our debt. We are so thankful that both our places are loved by our guests. Renting our homes has allowed us to work a little less and enjoy our little ones while they are still little. Learn more about this land: Rustic log cabin on secluded 34 acres with exceptional Mt. Hood and Zig Zag wilderness views all around. Only 3.3 miles from highway 26. The property is horse trailer accessible. Just moments away from endless hiking, horse trails, and sandy river beaches...not to mention all the other Mt. Hood area attractions. We also rent our property for weddings, family reunions, camp-outs, graduation parties and other events. Bring your own bedding and towels or we can supply them for you to use for an additional fee. Pets welcome with additional $65/pet cleaning fee. Additional $50 per person fee after first two people. Rustic log cabin on secluded 34 acres with exceptional Mt. Quiet and comfortable
Group trip
Beautiful little cabin in the woods on a sprawling piece of land. Quiet and comfortable getaway. While we only had a few guests you could see how the space could accommodate many tents for camping.

Excellent for an Escape!
With pets
This cabin is a fantastic retreat! There is an excellent view of Mt. Hood from the front porch. Lots of space for kids or pets to run around and very close to gorgeous mountain trails!

This was the perfect place to escape! GORGEOUS view of Mount Hood (inside and out), open meadow - perfect for dog roaming, games, and flower picking - and the cabin itself is a gem: classic log cabin-style with modern PNW charm. So beautiful. It sits miles away from the highway, so no traffic noise to be heard. My husband cooks professionally, so food is always a main character in our adventures— the kitchen appliances and supplies did not disappoint! Plus, the option to cook outside on the grill or over a fire is a definite perk, which he totally took advantage of. :) Maria was extremely friendly, and we took her advice to head up the road about mile or so for a day at the river. We found endless trails and campgrounds, and opted for the moss and shade along Lost Creek. A great hike, and we found our very own spot by the water for a little art making. Comfy bed, cast iron tub/shower (so cute!), pretty much everything you need. We'll definitely be back, with friends next time. Thanks, Maria!

Our stay at Relaxing River House was incredible! The Sandy River is directly adjacent to the house, so the sound of the river provides a great backdrop. The house itself is huge: four bedrooms! The tile floor is perfect for hot summer days. The deck is HUGE and has a picnic table, hammock, grill, and lounge chairs. (TIP: on clear nights lean back in the chairs (or hammock!) and watch for shooting stars and the Milky Way. ) There is also a large fire pit in the yard (wood is provided!) There are tons of shops and restaurants nearby along Route 26, not to mention the endless options for recreation in Mount Hood National Forest, which surrounds the property.

We arrived at the cabin in the early afternoon after stopping at Zigzag Mountain Cafe for a late lunch (we highly recommend the eggs Benedict). Maria and her family were here to welcome us and show us around. We settled down and went straight to Sandy Ridge for a quick mountain bike ride and did a little grocery shopping at Mount Hood Foods in Rhododendron on the way back to the cabin. We did not get a chance to see the beautiful view of mount Hood as it was a perfect PNW misty day but we did catch a glimpse of it above the clouds for a minute, it was enough to add that little magic to our late afternoon drink on the deck. Cell phone coverage is very limited, but there is wifi at the cabin. And there’s a TV in the bedroom, for those who might be interested.
