A GREAT WINTER CAMPING SPOT !
Gum Gully was the name of the gully where the original settlers met for local church worship under a large gum tree. This campsite is located Eastern Adelaide hills & adjacent to Lavender Federation Trail. Kangaroos can be seen at sunrise & at dusk.

This campsite is generally praised for its spacious and well-maintained sites, with friendly and accommodating hosts who make guests feel welcome. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views, often mentioning the convenience of clear signage and the fun of exploring walking trails. However, some campers noted issues with site conditions, like lack of shade and high weeds, which might not suit everyone's preferences. Overall, it's a spot that offers both tranquility and adventure, with hosts who genuinely care about their guests' experiences.
We stayed at site 2 - Echidna Place in our caravan & it was a perfectly flat spot so no levelling required. The hosts were extremely accommodating in allowing us to stay when they were actually closed. Rob dropped in for a chat & check we were good which was lovely. The walking trail provided amazing views at the top of the hill & a nice walk around their property. We had a relaxing, quiet stay & would definitely come back when in the area. Highly recommend to others with fully equipped camping, campers or caravan set ups.
Rob & Jo's spot was wonderful. Other camper's were on site but with a good distance between groups and everyone was great. Loved the walking trail on their property as well!
Great spot. Nice and secluded (the others are more exposed but still beautiful). Nicely designing walking track which my boy loved. Perfect spot to get away for a few days for camping fun!
We had a great time at Rob & Jo’s property. The campsite was beautiful and clearly marked. Rob and Jo were super friendly and had gave really clear, helpful directions for finding the site. Definitely looking forward to booking again soon!
Great spot! Lots of room, really well maintained area with great signage. Not much shelter from the elements, made tricky with the wind. If you plan on bringing your dog be aware there are sheep in the same area! Overall, great location.
