Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Farm stay in own private paddock on 80 acres, available May-November annually. Must be fully self contained and some levelling may be required as paddocks undulate. You will have the choice of 1-3 different paddock options depending on our stock rotation at the time. Easy access options available too for those who do not want to disconnect. We only accept 1 HC booking at a time so very private. Site can be in paddock, or close to road/shed if you want a short stay and quick get away, as being caravaners ourselves, we know being able to rock up somewhere late afternoon, and exit easily in the morning is sort after. Longer stays available, message if site saying no availability as some flexibility available.. Reopening our property just in mid Autumn to mid Spring to hipcamp guests only, after 2+ years not being listed around bushfire and low rainfall challenges. We are located in Woodside on 80 acres of gum studded paddocks, away from any main roads.  Beautiful views over Mt Lofty, pastures, dams and waterways, and a 5 acre winter creek allotment with lovely wildlife and plenty of cattle and horses to see.   Nearby we are also close to many iconic Adelaide Hills wineries, and there are wonderful walking and bike tracks (inc the Amy Gillett) and beautiful drives.   Site is only availably seasonally, and usually May-Oct - November annually (ie not in the drier months). There is no access to power or water, and hipcampers must have full self contained facilities inc toilets on board, per council requirements. Overnight site option with easy access from road or short to longer term options available if flexible with paddock choice around our stock rotations. Solo travellers very welcome and when we last opened up our farm a couple years ago, we received lots of wonderful reviews and comments from solo travellers who felt very safe here. They can choose to be near residence for extra security and peace of mind if they want. Location is very peaceful, but we are however a 'working' farm so there will be cattle/horse poop near or on the site, and may be the occasional farm/tractor noise in the background but we try to minimise where possible when visitors around. Also to keep this operation small and just a hobby, bookings are restricted to only 10-15 per year and suited to one small-medium van, tent or swag group only at a time, so very private.  Unfortunately pets are not allowed due to cattle (and young calves), horses and resident dogs nearby. We ask all campers to leave no trace, and a special request for no balls or litter be left in any paddock to protect both our livestock, and the environment. Any inquiries on this, or anything else, please ask!  Also if looking for a slightly longer stay, please message for availability/options.

Camping with animals!
Tent · With kids
Fantastic host and provided an experience for my kids above and beyond the standard camping expectation. The campsite was a peaceful spot to spend a few nights and enjoy the outdoors. You have to be ready for it being a working farm with the expectations that go along with that environment. Kids definitely can’t wait until we can return.

Peace of paradise in the hills
22 ft travel trailer
This setting is picturesque and private. You have the opportunity to have a fire and sit back and enjoy the great view, if you have the time you can also walk around the property and meet the horses . Host Karen is so helpful and makes the whole experience so easy and relaxing, will definitely be back again in spring!

Beautiful Site and Wonderful Host
Tent · With kids
My young family of 5 absolutely loved our stay on Karen’s property. We tented in an empty paddock and the kids enjoyed exploring the empty paddocks nearby and seeing the cows and horses. Karen was very accomodating and thoughtful providing a beautiful camping location shaded from the morning and evening sun and even brought a horse over for the kids to feed (the highlight of their trip). Karen made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this experience.

Amazing service and site!
We absolutely loved our stay on Karen’s property. Only staying one night for my girlfriends 25th, I was amazed with our campsite options upon arrival and the amount of care shown towards making the event special. Our site was well maintained and opened towards a lovely landscape. Our stay was during a rainy period and a small leak in the tent let to our blanket being soaked. Through her kindness and generosity, Karen lent us some blankets so we didn’t have to sleep under a drenched blanket. Karen and Peter’s hospitality and kindness were definitely appreciated and we’re certainly looking forward to our next visit!
