THIS SITE IS FULLY PRIVATE AND EXCLUSIVE! (You'll have the place to yourself). Located 1km outside Branxholm, upstream of the Ringarooma River is a 36-acre private business estate where you'll find your Hipcamp on a small, private, stretch of river frontage. This camp provides a scenic, quiet camp away from the chaotic crowd of a caravan park. Fires are permitted, and firewood is provided free of charge. Please be fully self-contained as there are no toilets or facilities. We ask that you don't wander around the property unless discussed with the owner.Dragon River Camp is fully EXCLUSIVE. You'll have the place to yourself. Check out this YouTube video to get an idea of the site https://youtu.be/ZcHq4RoJzbI?si=EbKlN8LOnuQJUx7r The campground is a flat, grassy space shaded by myrtle and wattle trees directly on the river frontage. The river is perfect for cooling off on a hot day, or catching that Instagram-worthy fish. Also keep your eyes peeled for the common platypus occurrence. Alongside the campsite is a short bush trail to the river "spa" area, perfect for swimming and fishing. A firepot and firewood is provided, and kayaks can be provided on demand. Generators allowed 9am-8pm, please discuss with the owner for any extension outside these hours. This site has no amenities so please be fully self-contained. Please inform me of any pets before arrival as we have alpacas and are 'Land for Wildlife'.

Idyllic and Exclusive
Tent
James and father Graham ensured our arrival was smooth and welcoming with a good orientation to the site. We felt very comfortable and safe there. Swam in the adjacent Ringarooma River, shared with the resident Platypus! Ground was green and grassed with plenty of flat spots to pitch the tent. We had cute Pademelon visitors overnight, they enjoyed the watermelon 🍉 we accidentally left out over night 🥰 If you hear thumping at night it’s them.

Such a lovely campsite next to the river. With spots you can dip on for a shallow swim. Take rock shoes as slippery though. Very peaceful and pretty. The supplied firewood is a bonus! Best part was having the spot all to myself! James and Graham were really lovely and helpful. Graham is really interesting and was happy to share his knowledge and history. The walk to the old mine sites was beautiful and worthwhile. Would highly reccomend this site.

Absolutely beautiful, quiet and well kept camping area. James and Graham are great hosts that met us on arrival and escorted us to the site which was much larger than expected. Already booked another visit early next year. Keep up the good work.
