We are a horse farm and equestrian venue. We offer a large flat carpark and some grassy area for campers with access to a toilet only. We do not offer horse riding lessons to visitors. Please respect the property boundaries outlined in the camping map.
We are close to AGFEST, the great western tiers, 2 hours to Cradle Mountain and many of the tourist locations of the North of Tasmania. We are 25 minutes to Launceston and the Launceston Airport. 10 minutes from the historic townships of Westbury and Carrick. Please setup camp anywhere on the car park or grass between the car park and the bathroom (in front of the horse yards). Please maintain ample space from the shipping containers and horse floats. There are no designated camping sites. Please do not camp too close to the bathroom as it is also used by agistees on the farm. There is no check in or out time, campers can come and go at anytime needed.

Inclusion policyWe have a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination at Hipcamp. We are committed to helping our Host and Hipcamper communities be inclusive.
Valmont Farms offers a spacious and serene camping experience, ideal for those seeking tranquility close to Launceston. Campers appreciate the modern amenities, including clean, flushing toilets, and the peaceful rural setting with horses and cattle. While there's ample space for campers and caravans, tent campers might find leveled grassy areas limited next to their vehicles. Some visitors noted noise from a distant music festival and occasional fly issues due to farm life, but overall, the picturesque views and easy access to nearby attractions like Liffey Falls make it a worthwhile stop.

Overall was a good experience with good clean flushing toilet. The downside was that the 5 sites were listed as seperate spaces with plenty of space between each. The reality is that none of the sites were marked and after we had set up our van, the next camper came in and pitched there tent just 1 meter from our Vehicle. I did not expect a camper to set up so close and was disapointed that this was allowed to happen. This tent set up made it difficult to hook up our van when we were ready to move. We paid for 2 nights however only stayed 1 night and mover to another camp ground were we had the space which we paid for. Cheers Col

Fab spot. Huge space. Great little toilet. We knew we would be arriving after sunset so checked with India who said that would be fine. Sunrise was gorgeous!
