Amazingly simple experience!
With kids
An amazingly simple experience for a quick trip out of Melbourne. My family and I were looking for a quick getaway from our city apartment before the hectic year started. We bought a tent last minute and ran over to Kate's farm straight after work. All the extras were there for us to use, including access to a very clean very modern bathroom. The location was magnificent, views breathtaking and stars bright. Kate was very friendly and took time out of her day to show us and the kids around, even giving the kids a ride on her horse.

A delightful clamping experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Galloping Gypsy Getaways and we’d love to go back for a longer stay next time. The outside/shed room looked beautiful and inviting and was warm with the gas heating. The kitchen in the shed next door had everything we needed. Steve had lit the campfire for us and there was heaps of wood. The bed in the bunk room was really comfortable so we had a restful sleep. It is a beautiful spot with lovely views, peaceful and relaxing and the hosts are friendly and welcoming but not in your face or space. Watching the antics of the newborn calfs added to the joy of this farm camping experience, we just loved it! We look forward to going to stay again.

Beautiful scenery, relaxing, fun
Galloping Gypsy Getaway was exactly what we needed as a little getaway after lock down. You get hit with the stunning views the second you turn down School Road. We camped and there was plenty of space and options to choose from. Kate and Steve were both very welcoming and helpful. Their pet dogs Romi and Belle were very friendly and great company by the fire (however Kate and Steve made sure we were fine with them being there). The new calves were walking distance away and we got to say hello. The facilities were perfect as we didn't have much utensils camping wise and the kitchen area was great for pepping our meals and fridge to keep our food cold. The hangout area undercover with the couches was super relaxing and we had a lovely time taking in the view and watching the sun set by the outdoor fire. Bunyip state forest is only a 5 mminute drive away with wonderful walking options. We walked along the aquaduct the following day and it was lovely to be out and about in nature. Would highly recommend this stay whether you're a couple or family. Caters to multiple needs :) thanks again Kate and Steve!
