How to get the family together.
With kids
Wonderful off-grid accommodation with helpful and welcoming hosts. Enough beds for a family gathering of 14 people. All comfy and clean. Great facilities and beautiful location ideal for hiking about and checking out historic mining sites. Lots of birds for the "twitchers".

The perfect unplugged retreat
With kids
This mountain retreat is the perfect place to come with friends or family, at anytime of the year, to enjoy some unplugged quality time and explore the high country and Victorian alps. We specifically loved admiring the mountains while getting warm with the outdoor campfire, soaking in the outdoor bath, having fun making homemade pizzas in the outdoor wood pizzas oven and playing board games. The road to come here follows the river and is particularly scenic.

Perfect for large groups
With kids
We had a lovely time with our large family group. The house was cosy and clean and luxurious, with a large open living, dining and kitchen area. Downstairs are 5 large bedrooms all with ensuites and double beds and another space inside each bedroom with a single bed and space for another mattress or two on the floor (Gordy provides spare foam mattresses for this purpose). It was perfect for families with young children. Upstairs are a further 4 bedrooms each with 2 single beds and another bathroom. The ensuites were lovely. The views and surrounding bush land are beautiful and there is a creek nearby. The road in is very windy so be prepared if anyone in your group gets travel sickness. Lovely grass area in front of the house for games and tracks through the bush behind. We all had a great time and would thoroughly recommend staying here.
