*Due to the weather situation in the area the creek flows are sporadic. However, the several waterholes on the creeks do maintain water. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns* Our little piece of paradise is nestled quietly in a valley in Wulgulmerang East in East Gippsland. With 111 acres of primarily untouched native bushland to explore, we know this land needs to be shared to appreciate the beauty. With two creeks meeting and Goodwin Gorge on the property there are plenty of natural delights to enjoy. Approximately 2kms down the road is the convergence of the mighty Alpine and Snowy National Parks. Here you will find Little River Falls and Little River Gorge which are only minutes away from the property. Little River Gorge is Victoria's deepest Gorge and home to the one of the last colonies of the critically endangered Black Footed Rock Wallaby. The Wulgulmerang Creek that runs through the property, empties into the gorge in a stunning cascade, after rain. We are a dog friendly property but as we share this land with a myriad of wildlife we ask that appropriate respect is considered. McKillops Bridge is approx 20kms away. McKillops Road is considered amongst the 10 most scenic drives in Australia, with jaw dropping scenery along the way. Alternately take the scenic drive to Jindabyne along the Barry Way approximately 2 1/2 hours away. The property is remote with the nearest township of Buchan 40 minutes away. We will endeavour to have basic emergency supplies available at the homestead. There is no mobile coverage at the campsites, giving you the opportunity to disconnect from your electronics and enjoy nature. There is access to the Wifi at the homestead if you do need to make calls.

Amazing. Look no further.

This spot is amazing. Grassed camping area, some shade available, a drop toilet with hand washing facilities, a tank of rainwater, two bins for general rubbish and recycling, plenty of firewood. There’s a small creek that was flowing thanks to some rain in the days before we arrived (late Jan 2025) that feeds into a water hole with waist deep water. Water was a bit murky but we swam every day to cool off and it was fine. Great even. Four or five good spots to pitch a tent if there’s a few of you and you want to spread. Another campsite just next door that they block out (so you don’t get camped out) if you book one site that would be perfect for the halflings. And in a magical part of the world. Owners were lovely, gave a good briefing on arrival and stayed out of our hair otherwise, unless we went to them to use the wi fi in the house that’s over the hill about 300m away. Could not recommend any higher.

Magnificent spot

We so enjoyed our long weekend exploring the area. Kylie is such a warm welcoming host. Nothing was too much trouble. The spacious flat camping area is surrounded by native bushland and a creek. Lots of birds, walks in the forest, the stunning little river gorge and nearby McKillops Bridge. Such a great base.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The camp site is beautifully maintained, the property is stunning and Kylie is very welcoming. The surrounding area offered so much to do we wish we had more time. The pictures do not do this place justice. Massive recommendations from us!

Peaceful gateaway from
Kylie is very welcoming. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. She took time to show us the land and explain us everything we should know. We appreciated the toilets (very clean!!), to have plenty of wood available to set up a fire for the night and the land was very peaceful and restful. Highly recommended!!

A wonderful campsite
3 m pop-up camper · With pets ·
A beautiful site with everything you need. Kylie made us feel very welcome, as did all the kangaroos and birds. It was lovely exploring the creek. The fire pit was excellent and greatly appreciated one very cold night - the morning frost was lovely. The drive to MacKillops Bridge was worth the challenge - make sure you enjoy the Little River Gorge lookout. We came home with lots of wonderful memories. I hope we get there again

Awesome 6 night stay in the Snowy
3 m travel trailer · With pets ·
This could be our new favourite hip camp. Very close to the Snowy River National Park - and possibly the closest you can comfortably get towing a caravan or camping trailer before hitting the spectacular but narrow and winding road to McKillop's Bridge. We loved the peace and tranquility of this site, with good flat sites above but close to the creek. The composting toilet (long drop) has to be one of the best I have ever used. Kylie and Macca were fabulous hosts and we loved our 6 night stay here. Highly recommended!
